I feel as if that’s the exact problem.
The 360 mode should NOT be called "Qanba Joystick Plus (Controller)"
It should be called "Xbox 360 controller for windows."
I have a Q4raf.
This means that your Xbox 360 controller drivers are not properly installed for some sort of reason.
On a Windows 7 machine without the Xbox 360 drivers installed, a genuine Xbox 360 controller (I have the first release X360 pad) shows up as “Controller” (with a black looking Xbox “Duke” type picture) instead of saying “Xbox 360 controller for windows” with a white controller image.
If I may ask first: On your “Xbox 360” Q4raf mode, do you get the “Z axis” (LT and RT buttons) and the X and Y rotation appearing (not usable however as that’s the right analog stick) on your devices and printers->Qanba settings?
If I may ask after, do you have one of the original Q4’s that are dual modded (sandwiched pcb’s)? Or do you have the second version that is single PCB but not common ground (this one won’t work with LED mods; you can tell by seeing “Epoxy” in the middle of the PCB where a chip should be). The third version has a chip in the middle instead of epoxy and is common ground.
Also the older versions of the Q4raf have physical “Indentions” for the LED holes for Mode, Turbo lights, and I think the 1 and 2+ player LED numbers, and the newer ones don’t have any indentions at all, and have the LED’s through some sort of covering.
what is your Windows system? it is suggested to do update with Windows 7 system and above.
what about use another PC in Windows system?
and what is the light color now when connect converter to PC?
I was able to update successfully on the same PC, same port, same controller after I put the adapter at the end of a very old USB extension cable. Maybe USB 2, but probably USB 1. Not sure why that worked, but it’s good now! Thanks for your help.
Is it recomended to update the firmware of my converter - its just arrived, ive used it PS3/4 to Xbox One and it works great, just worried im missing out on improved latency if i dont update it?
