Been having tons of trouble updating the firmware of my lime green converter. No matter what buttons I press on my stick with the ps360+, the update process won’t begin. I’ve tried putting it into configuration mode, but I’m not sure what else to do
Hi all, just ordered one of the White PS3-> PS4 adapters from ebay - the dude apparently bought a TE2 and never used the adapter. I’m not sure what firmware it’s going to be on when it gets here.
One of the files says V15 but the date on the file says 20160114 but the other says V14 and the date on that one says 20160115 hence my confusion.
Also - I only have a PS4 pad; if this is running the older version of the firmware can I still update it using that or do I need to find a PS3 pad? The tutorial video doesn’t really say and the pdf with the instructions only says “with controller or stick (need L3 or Left button)”. I assume this means a PS4 pad should be fine?
The two firmwares are identical, I believe, if they both support PSN 3.15. The V14 firmware disables turbo and extra features (I think remapping) to make the adapter tournament legal. the other one does not. If you want to take your stick to tournaments, you need to use the tournament legal version so the lights on it show that turbo and remapping can not be used (so the organizers can see that it’s disabled so its legal).
The 2nd firmware (v14) is for tournament mode- it disables button mapping and lets you update the firmware with a stick using the left and right button (instead of L3 and R3). If you don’t care about either of those then use the first firmware (v15).
2nd Q- I think you need a PS3 controller or stick.
EDIT- Ha, ha we posted at the same time, but ya, as Falkentyne said.
I have bought from your shop a brook converter for PS3 to PS4 (the white one). I’ve update it with the latest firmware and driver on brook website (PS3toPS4 20160205).
It works with a dualshock 3 BUT it doesn’t work with my PS3 hori arcade stick soulcalibur V, PS3 hori arcade stick dead or alive 5, sega saturn usb control pad and neo geo pad usb.
I contacted the seller and brook… no answers. I get a hint on youtube that explain me that the hori soulcalibur V isn’t compatible because it has 2 USB for keyboard and headset.
So, for people who wants to buy this product, check the compatibility first !
@al_bundy
Please update B file to fix compatibly with PS3 hori arcade stick dead or alive 5.
BTW, PS3 hori arcade stick soulcalibur V and sega saturn usb control pad aren’t compatible…
Please log onto Brook’s website: http://www.brookaccessory.com/download/Xbox%20one/
And download "PS3&4 to XBox One20160222"
Driver is in the file you download
There are 32 bits and 64 bits driver, depends on your PC
I had some problems with the instructions to flash the “Tournament Edition”
I got the white PS3 to PS4 convertor for my Qanba Q4RAF, it took me some time to update (I didn’t understand the instructions. The videos and pdf didn’t help, it kept saying there was a “Hid updater” in devices and printers, and the device kept turning red LED, and if I unplugged it and replugged it, the flasher would say “update ready” again, and I was stuck in flashing repeatedly.
Then I Found your post that said this:
Press Home+Start (this turns the convertor red)
Press L3 (Left joystick on Qanba Q4).
Keep holding L3 down and press Home, then release.
Once I found this post, everything worked.
The PDF file did not mention this as you said this. I was stuck until I saw your post about the 1, 2, 3.
Thank you, but I have an important question.
TE edition disables turbo mode, right? And the LED turns purple (magneta).
My LED is purple, but the “turbo” button still works on the PC and is still working.
So it did not disable “turbo” button on Qanba Q4raf on PC.
Is this because I have it plugged into PC? I don’t have a PS4. I want to use this at the college PS4 machines later. (they have PS4 at the college gameroom).
Is the turbo button on the qanba a different thing than the “TE” function on the tournament firmware?
I recently bought the red converter, ps4 to xbox1, & updated the firmware but my Xbox one elite doesn’t recognize the converter at all. The green light on the converter will not light up at all in any of the USB inputs. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this converter to work?
Oh, Zippy, I just read the manual. I understand now. It’s a different turbo function.
The adapter has built in turbo function and remapper. Tournament firmware disables this, right?
Qanba also has a turbo button, this is just like in PS3 and Xbox mode, so just never press turbo (this button can not be disabled).
I was confused at first. I thought the firmware disables the turbo button on the joystick, but this is a stick feature itself.
