Quick question: My stick has a PS360+ and I recently bought the lime green xbox 360 to ps4 converter from arcadeshock. I was told that it should have come with the firmware updated already, but does anyone know if I should update the firmware anyway? Also, I can’t seem to get my stick and the converter to work on PC with SFV. I’m not sure if it’s the converter or my PS360 settings. I don’t know if I should put it into PS3, PS4, or X360 mode on the PS360+ to work with the lime green converter the best, on both PC and PS4.
Question: I just got the Xbox 360 -> XB1 Super Converter over the weekend, but while trying to use it I was having issues. My arcade stick has the Akishop PS360+ PCB installed, but whether I toggle Xbox 360 mode or not, it doesn’t seem to want to work when I plug it into the converter (and the converter into my XB1). I tried plugging the converter in by itself, waiting for the green light to turn on, and then plugging the stick in. I also tried plugging the stick into the converter before plugging the converter into the system. That didn’t work either. Any suggestions on how I can troubleshoot this?
PS360+ should work with the white one.
But only with the latest firmware because they patched it to make it compatible.
I use the ps360+ with a white converter all the time without even having to forcce the ps3 mode.
Anyone with a PS360+ PCB Hitbox (if anyone can be bothered enough to open up a normal PS360+ stick up to press left + right to see what the behaviour is; that could work too) and a white ps3=>ps4 brook adapter - can you test something for me (preferrably on SFV)?
I have a version of the PS360+ v1.65 firmware which it modifies the SOCD for directions (PS3 mode only though) to be:
Left+Right=Last Input
Up+Down=Up
Does the SOCD behaviour above persist through the converter? Or does it go back to the standard Left+Right=Neutral?
I need to know before I pick one of those converters up!
Please PM me if you can help - I can send you the hex file that you need to flash on the PS360+ (I wasn’t the one who made the firmware and I don’t know if I can share it publicly).
Way I understand it, the SOCD filtering in the PS360+ takes place before the signal ever gets to the Brook adapter anyways.
The Brook adapter can only take the input it receives from your stick’s PCB.
So at that point the SOCD filtering on the Brook Adapter is a moot point as its not getting the Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions or SOCD.
If the Brook Adapter does SOCD Filtering, it only does so after the a SOCD signal is sent.
Also SOCD Filtering breaks a number of games from working correctly. Games such as DDR, Pop N Music and others depend on those Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions to work correctly.
Not that those games exist on the PS4 at the moment, but they could appear in the future. Also not everyone who uses a Brook Super Converter is a Fighting Game fan.
I’m trying to update the firmware on my ps3 to xbox one converter but when trying to run update A it tells me to plug in a controller even though the converter is plugged into the pc. I’m stuck at this point so any help?
