Brook Converters Thread

Hey, does anyone know if there are any converters that will make an unmodded keyboard work on a ps4?

For the ps2 to ps4 adapter with the touch pad firmware update. Is it Start+ select = touch pad? Also does this firmware stack with the tournament firmware or should I wait for a TE touch pad firmware?

It would be cool to make Select = touch pad instead because, and correct me if I’m wrong (I don’t have a ps4) Share is almost never going to be used in a tournament setting and the touch pad basically is the new select.

which one do I download? the very last one which has the fix doesn’t have a download link

Install the latest, look the date

@Diveman
This link… Only updated ( A patch file ) to fix timeout issue on PS4. Don’t install USB Driver and B patch file.
Started at 02:00 - 04:00 on Video file…

Refer to look the video (PS3->PS4), Brook PS4 Converter used the same updating process to update. Only different combo keys to enter and exit updating mode.

1.) SHARE(SELECT) key == touch key
2.) SHARE(SELECT) + OPTION(START) key == Share key
3.) Hold D-pad or Move Right-Stick then pressing the Touch key to output left/right/up/down Touch Key presses, or only press Touch Key for a middle press
4.) We will add touchpad function in the tournament mode… Coming soon

Please forced PS3 mode on PS360+ then plugged into converter.

I got two PS3/PS4 to XBOXONE adapters today and I’m having trouble with them. If someone could help me out, I would appreciate it. My goal is to use both on PC only with my direct input controllers, and DS3/DS4 devices via wired connections.

Both won’t work with the PC version of SFV at the same time. Player two drops after every loading screen and I have to plug P2 back in to get it to work each time. There is a Hori HRAP 4 Kai plugged into each one.

Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that USB Saturn Pads work, but mine do not. Serial for them are: SLS ISS-5001. No idea if they are legit or fake, but they do work just fine in direct input games directly plugged in to a PC.

Steps Taken:

Wired devices only.
Swapped usb cables.
Tried with Win7sp1 and Win10
Tried with two separate computers.
Controllers used for FW upgrade: DS4, DS3 Sixaxis
Controllers used for testing in game: Hori HRAP 4 Kai, DS4
DS4 Windows is not installed, nor any SCP server/drivers.

  1. Downloaded PS3PS4toXBOXONE_20151225.rar from website and was able to update Firmware A with only one adapter plugged in, however I could not update Firmware B. Ran FW B installer as Admin and unable to make the update button appear after pressing key combinations on screen. Zeroplus USB Driver made no difference. First used DS4, and then DS3. Followed PDF directions and youtube video. Both adapters exhibit this behavior.

  2. Downloaded PS3PS4TOXONE_20151225.rar.rar from website and was able to update Firmware A with only one adapter plugged in, however I could not update Firmware B. Ran FW B installer as Admin and unable to make the update button appear after pressing key combinations on screen. Zeroplus USB Driver made no difference. Followed PDF directions and youtube video. Both adapters exhibit this behavior.

  3. Giving up on FW B for the time being, I then tried separate usb ports on the front and back of each computer thinking they couldn’t share the same usb hub. Did not resolve the problems with SFV.

  4. Tried using a HRAP 4 Kai for p1 and a DS4 for p2, but same issue. P2 needs to be plugged in after each loading screen with SFV.

Thanks if anyone can help out!

I sent a message to U, I believed it can help … Please follow steps to try.

When did Sony release a Firmware on the PS4, So PS2 to PS4 Converters won’t work

[quote]
NOTE: Sony Playstation 4 firmware update 3.11 disables the Brook Super Converter after 8 minutes. Brook has developed a firmware update to address this. Please make certain to update your device firmware before using. Firmware update information and instructions are available in the Support tab. The Brook Super Converter is not yet approved for all fighting game tournaments.

After every Sony PS4 firmware update Brook has to update their firmware as well.

PS4 firmware update list:

Heya GOGO.Zippy, just got my 360>PS4 converters and my 360 controllers are wireless and I can’t update the firmware because my TE1 stick doesn’t have L3. Could I get the message, please?

@euthanasian
Please look massage …

Thank you, it all works fine!

So everytime Sony brings out a Firmware for the PS4, It kills the converter at the same time?

A PS4 firmware update makes it so the converter will disconnect after 8 min.

It happened with the last 2 updates, not sure if it will keep on happening. It’s a bit annoying, but it takes like 5 mins to update your Brook converter if you know what you’re doing.

Got it working!

Has anyone had any problems with their ps4 when using their convertors?
i’ve been using 360>PS4 and my PS4 just started turning off, now its pretty dead.
Not sure if its a related issue

What’s dead? The converter or the PS4? I’ve only been using the PS2 to PS4 so far, no issues.
