Brook Converters Thread

Is it possible to update the firmware software using a Mac now?

I am really looking forward to this. I’m using the PS3-PS4 (White) adapter for my Hit Box and having the Touchpad option will be very helpful for MKX. The touchpad is used to toggle screen modes in KOTH and reset in Practice mode. (Delayed Start for 2x Start reset sucks)

On another note, I just sent an email regarding my PS3-PS4 adapter having a disconnect issue when a controller is connected to it through USB. (Wireless works) I did not have this issue the first couple of weeks I had the converter. It just started a couple days ago.

I’m running the latest available firmware from the site, and even tried the TE firmware… My Hit Box didn’t work at all when I first received the adapter until I updated the firmware. So I’ve had the latest firmware update since day 1. This happens with an original PS3 controller connected via USB as well. The disconnect issue does not happen when it’s connected to my PC.

Very much looking forward to this. Thanks for addressing it!

I was thinking about ordering a converter for one of my sticks but I’m not sure about the compatibility.

Either a PS3 to PS4 converter for a PS3 Madcatz TE-S
or a XBOX360 to PS4 version or XBox360/One to PS4 for a XBox360 Madcatz Fightstick Pro

Anyone know if any (or even both) work with the converters?

@ā€œShiny McShineā€ yup it will work…

im having a frustrating problem.
my green 360 > ps4 converter was working fine, but i was having issues pressing L3 and R3 at the same time in a game. so i decided to try one of the firmware updates. i downloaded the X360XONE to PS4 (NEW) "File A:Fix L3+R3 combination key error in GUILTY GEAR Krd -SIGN-."
the instructions were telling me to update the driver with some usbdriver_64 which doesn’t exist, or at least i found nowhere on the brook site. so, stupidly i’m realizing, i skipped that part.
i then ran ā€œZPPN002-A_V14_20151130.exeā€ and entered the button combo to throw it into update mode. well needless to say, the firmware update failed,

the light shuts off the converter, and now nothing works. when i plug the converter back in, the light is purple, and nothing works. its like, stuck in update mode, and i cant get it out. the same button combo that’s supposed to close it out does nothing. when i run that ZPPN002-A_V14_20151130.exe, the firmware update screen pops up and says ready to update firmware. clicking update brings me into the same endless loop of failing the update, and leaving the converter stuck with a purple light and unable to get out of that mode.

it was working fine before. i just want it back to the way it was since obviously this didnt work. what the hell do i do?

edit
also, when plugged back into the ps4, the light is still purple, controller doesnt work, nothing. when plugged back into the pc without the update exe running, still purple, nothing working.

Hi @SwazHD
You used incorrect file to update your converter.
I look your message : your green 360 > ps4 converter, but you used firmware of X360XB1 > ps4 converter to update [ green ] converter.
please download from official website or my dropbox, try again.

Here are installation, usb driver and latest firmware…Have any questions,let me know. B)

ahhh thanks man. I’ll try that as soon as I get home in about 10 mins. I’ll let you know how it goes. and thanks for the speedy response!

All has been solved. big thanks to GOGO.Zippy for a prompt response and not stopping until I had it fixed. thanks again man.

@GOGO.Zippy I sent you guys a message on Facebook and your website on Friday 8th January. Can I please get a response. Cheers

Is there a generl consensus on how well these work with the qaba q4raf?Would I be better off getting a ps3 or a xbox 360 to ps4 converter or does it not make a difference?

I’m trying to update my Super Converters to the latest non-TE firmware, but I’m having a tough time of it. I just can’t understand the firmware list on the website. At minimum, each firmware release should say which** version number** the download is and the date released. The TE and non-TE files need to be clearly marked, not vaguely labeled as A and B files. And finally, there should be no Optional updates as that just confuses things. Either make it the latest version or don’t, IMO.

Can anyone tell me which download and file to install for these converters?

PS3/4-to-Xbox One
Xbox One-to-PS4

It would also be really good if the PC software could display the version number of the firmware that is currently installed on the converter.

@Bomberman
Thanks your advice, we are going to improve firmware updated process and and more info in App. coming soon.

Which files do you want to update?
There are more 3-party device in latest firmware for fix compatible issue (in B file), if your converter could work fine with yours device, I think you don’t to update any thing.
We disabled two functions including Turbo/Keymap in the TE version. so you only updated A file.

Thanks GOGO.Zippy. I successfully updated all of my devices. I believe the newer X360/XBONE-to-PS4 firmware download is missing the required drivers, but I found them in the older file.

Is it correct that the A and B file are two separate firmwares for devices that accept X360/XBONE-to-PS4 or output two different kinds of controllers? For example, with the X360/XBONE-to-PS4, is the A file Xbox 360 firmware and the B file is Xbox One firmware? If this is correct, that information should be explained on the firmware download page or in the instruction files.

X360/XBONE-to-PS4 3rd party controller compatibility testing:

Compatible:

Power A MiniSeries Controller

Not compatible:

Power A Fusion Pro Controller
Razer Wildcat

GOGO.Zippy, do you think you will be able to make those two controllers compatible in the future?

I dont suppose you or anyone else knows if they also work well on xbox one, I planned on getting the p3/p4 - XO in the hope that there would be less lag. Hoping someone can confirm it works well enough to use, thanks.

@Bomberman
Every Converters have owned A & B file.
Brook will purchase those two gamepads to verify…

@GOGO.Zippy did you see my feedback about the Driving Force GT Firmware?

@NunoV2 might be best to message zippy privately or through his Facebook account being that this thread is primarily focused on pads & arcade sticks.

Roger that. Where can I find his facebook account?

Just wondering, what happened to the white ps3 to 360 converter? A friend of mine has one and really likes it and I need some way to use a ps3/ps4 stick on 360 but that converter has apparently disappeared from the internet.
