Brook Converters Thread

Brooke 360 to PS4 converter has bad lag on 3so PS4. Heads up for anyone buying it for that use.

@EveryFlowerFlow
BROOK converter have 0.7 to 1 frame lag inputting.
which 360 devices do you use with BROOK converter? BROOK will look it…

I guess I’ll ask here!

So I bought a PS3/PS4 to PS3/PS4 converter and my PS360+ (v1.65) isn’t being recognized. I updated the converter to the one available on the main site but my PS360+ is still unrecognized. I tried other controllers and they seem to work fine.

Don’t suppose there’s a solution for this specific converter? Noticed beta firmwares for others converters, so I figure it’s worth a shot to ask here in case I missed it!

I would like to buy a PS2 to PS4 Super Converter

But the price is to high for a wallet, Is there a cheaper way?

I tried Mad Catz Round 2 TE and Mad Catz SCV sticks for 360 with the 360-PS4 converter.

Third Strike Online had real bad lag with both sticks with PS4. Felt like about 5-10 frames.

Has anyone confirmed if the PS3/PS4 -> XB1 converter works with a PS3/PC hitbox?

This could be a solution to play MKX on both XB1 and PS4 with no mods required, no?

I’m confused, is Third Strike even on the PS4? If you meant via Playstation Now ā€˜ā€˜Streaming’’ service, I’m not surprised that it lags.

Please read through the thread. It’s already been confirmed to work since the PS3 hitbox uses a toodles cthulhu a few pages back.

@MogKnight did you update the firmware?

Yes, well HRAP4 and native DS4 don’t lag on it. Makes no sense that the Brook converter would when it doesn’t with anything else.

I read through the whole thread, all 12 pages. Nowhere does anyone confirm its working with a ā€˜out of the box’ PS3/PC Hitbox with no issues. One person said it worked with their custom hitbox, and another said it works on the board in the hitbox. You want me to take that on faith and buy a $200 non-refundable hitbox? Dickcheese.

  1. PS3/PC Hitbox is listed on their site for $160 not $200.
  2. The Hitbox website clearly lists under the product description what PCB it uses. Though you may need to update the Cthulu firmware.
  3. The first page of this thread lists, under the X-Box One converter what PS3 PCBs work with it. Which I suppose would fall under @jonyfraze 's statement of ā€˜a few pages back’. It would also be covered if you in fact checked the entire thread.
  4. Both your reading comprehension and attitude suck.

60 + shipping + tax = ~$200. My attitude might suck but so does your math. I’m not even including cost of converter itself which drives this up. What different is 8 dollars when you’re talking about ~ $200. You are nitpicking a minor detail that is completly outside the scope of the real question here. Whats your point? My comprehension is just fine thank you :

  • I read the entire thread, and saw what you are referencing. Thats not enough information for me drop $200 on something that might not work which I cant return.

I am looking for someome who has tested the hitbox itself out of the box, not the PCB on whatever firmware it is referring to (it doesn’t say) to confirm it works. Is that so unreasonable?

I have approached hitbox representatives directly regarding this as well as BROOK representatives but I have not gotten a clear answer from either, so I looking for someone who can comfim

Some dude saying ā€œread the threadā€ which I have already read in detail, offers no help, shuts the question down, and its also condescending. Hence the bad attitude and dickcheese comment. Comprende?

@roosta That ā€œsome dudeā€ that told you to read the thread has been testing these converters well before any one paid attention to them. That ā€œsome dudeā€ has also put in countless hours working with Brook directly testing out beta firmware, improving the lag time, and sending them their own PCBs for them to test and confirm compatibility. With that said, If the Toodles Cthulhu boards are still being installed in the PS3 hitbox - then we already confirmed compatibility with the v14 and on firmware updates. I own one of the PCBs myself. It works. And easy on the dickcheese.

Nothing anyone has said to you in any way justifies your attitude or your responses. The fact that you didn’t realize that the person who initially responded to you was the guy who started this topic and who has done the majority of the testing speaks volumes to how much you where just looking to get pissed off at someone. Also the bolded part makes no sense. What matters as far as compatibility goes is 100% based on the PCB and firmware. Said PCB (w/whatever necessary revision of firmware) could be running out of a toaster and it’s still all that would matter. A Hitbox is just a case with some buttons. Hell, the fact that I don’t see any posts from you in the Hitbox support thread here would indicate a lack of effort to improve the chance of getting your question answered. I would also generally suggest that if you want to last here that you consider being less of an asshole because unless this is the only thing you need help with (doubtful) then you aren’t going to find people to be especially helpful when they know that all that’s going to happen is them getting insulted and their advice being questioned. Comprende?

@roosta needs to calm down. People are trying to help but your overall attitude isn’t helping.

Take this as a warning.

@jonyfraze yup! Updated the firmware of the PS3/PS4 > PS3/PS4 converter to whatever it was on the main site. Held different buttons to force PS3 and it still doesn’t work.

Ahh you have the yellow adapter… the last PS4 3.11 update broke compatibility. The white adapter has recently been fixed for the ps360+. I’ll speak to @ā€œgogo.zippyā€ about getting the yellow adapter updated as well… just tested mine out as well… same deal. Hang tight…

I wish Sony update there firmware to accept PS3 Controllers

Now they have PS2 BC Via Download
