Hi,
I just got one of the 360/X1 to PS4 converters, and I am having trouble running the ZPPN002-A_V14_20151130 update as well. I updated the USB driver, and ran the update for v13 A&B already and those worked. However, for some reason the v14 A update never opens up after running the executable The mouse just turns to the spinning circle in Windows 7 and the program never starts. I can’t kill the process and have to reboot. I tried both the file on the Brook web site and the on in your dropbox link. Is there something wrong with the A update program?
Also, regarding customizing buttons. Is there any way to make the share button map to the L3+R3 button combo and the touchpad key map to the X360/X1 back/view button. The way it converts is not ideal for sticks. You can’t seem to do this because of how you need to hold down the back button to remap inputs. I can’t remap anything to the back button as a result. I bought this convertor for use with 360 sticks, and there’s no L3/R3 so we can’t use the touchpad function at all. It would be a lot more useful for fighters with training mode features to have their xbox 360 back buttons work as the touchpad click. Could you provide some sort of alternate firmware that swaps where the touchpad and option buttons are mapped since we can’t do that ourselves? A lot of stick users would much prefer having the touchpad click instead of share as we can’t use any of the toucpad functions in MK or Ultra SFIV with the adapter and a stick currently.
Hey guys. My madcatz te is dual modded to work with ps3 and 360. The dude who modded ut for me said he used a chimp pcb to do the modding. As of right now I have a ps3 to ps4 converter and it isn’t working. Any way you guys can help me out? I really don’t want to have wasted 50 bux
Thanks. I tried on the original computer with it off and it still didn’t work. I tried on a second computer that had the same antivirus program and it worked fine. Only difference is one’s AMD and one’s Intel. Maybe that’s why, but I got it updated at least.
Is there any way you could provide an optional firmware update that switches the share and touchpad press? I’m disappointed I can’t map the touchpad to the back button on my stick. I bought this converter to replace a cronusmax, but I’m losing that ability, so I’m probably going to end up using that instead even it it means requiring an authentication controller. I probably would not have bought this had I known you couldn’t do that. If I could map the touchpad to back/view it would be perfect, but otherwise In afraid I’m going to return or sell it.
Perhaps is there is a way to update the firmware so that in program mode you can press a certain button combo to simply swap where the touchpad click and share button are mapped. Like maybe hold the back button and click L3+R3 to swap them? That would be very useful for those who want to use the touchpad click on sticks and wouldn’t negatively affect pad users. I don’t know how difficult this would be to implement, but would make it much nicer for stick users while still making it easy to swap back to default if desired.
hello,
regarding the “Xbox 360 to PS4 Controller Adapter” and the “Xbox 360/Xbox ONE to PS4 Controller Adapter”,
although the opening post states that the Madcatz 1st Generation T.E. SFIV stick is compatible with these converters, I’ve heard a lot about the PS3 versions lagging and such.
i do not have a modded Xbox 360 stick or anything. i am just wondering if anyone has any experience using an Xbox 360 Madcatz 1st Generation T.E. SFIV stick with either of those two converters, on the PS4.
is there any noticeable lag or any other issues?
thank you.

I can confirm that the Round 1 TE sticks work on PC when plugged into the Brook white adapter with the latest firmware.
When I plugged my Round 1 TE directly into my PC, it was recognized as “8388 USB device” or something similar in the game pad settings window in the Control panel. Even though it was recognized, nothing works.
When plugged into the Brook white adapter with the latest firmware and the drivers from the firmware package, it’s recognized as a “zeroplus usb device”. In this case, the stick and all buttons work perfectly.
Let me know if you have any more questions about Round 1 TE sticks with the adapter.
I have been trying to get it to work and I keep having the same problems with not getting the xbox360/xbox1 to PS4 adapter to update correctly.
My first problem I noticed was when I got update the USB first I do not get the same HID number that the STEP BY STEP document states.
Mine is: USB\VID_0416&PID_A316&REV_0000
USB\VID_0416&PID_A316
when The document states this: Select Hardware Ids in the Property drop-down list. The Value category
should start with USB\VID_0C12&PID_… (The succeeding characters will
depend on the converter model).
Regardless, It updated fine and I got the ZeroPlus USB Device.
After getting the USB updated, I updated with ZPPN002-A_V14_20151130.exe, and it went fine with no problems using the xbox360 wired controller.
I then unplug the controller, and go to update with ZPPN002-B_V14_20151126.exe
It is here that I have no controller plugged in. The Blue Pop up window has no update button. and asks me to unplug controller for it to update.
None is working. I tried this on 4 different computers ( 3 at home, 1 at work)
I fear I may need to return this adapter if I can not get it to work properly. HELP me GoGO.Zippy!! your my only hope bro!
Sweet!!! thanks so much for that. I’m gonna place an order for the white one then. This is great news for sure for all Round1 owners. Actually i’m beginning to think for all compatible sticks. Because PCB’s have 8 minute timouts and this doesn’t. Not to mention it’s easier (no installation) and cheaper. Hmm I wonder if these USB adapters will make PCB’s obsolete in the future.
I don’t think PCBs are going to be obsoleted anytime soon for several reasons. First and foremost, these converters have not been cleared for tournament play. Secondly, more extensive testing is needed by someone with the appropriate equipment is needed to give a de facto number on how much input lag is introduced by the converter. I don’t really notice any lag when using these converters, but I’m also not super hardcore. Lastly, PCBs allow for the board to be hidden in the stick. There will always be people who want to streamline their sticks and not deal with an external converter.
With that said, I really like these Brook converters and own two of the white (ps3 to ps4), two red ones (ps3/ps4 to Xbox one) and a yellow one (ps3/ps4 to ps3/ps4). Brook is also introducing pcbs of their own. I can’t wait until they make a version with screw terminals (I’m too lazy to solder).
Picked up the PS3 -> 360 adapter so I could use the new SFV Chun-Li TE2 on my 360. It works great. The only thing I’ve noticed is within the first minute or two, the R2 (RT on 360) activates for unknown reasons. I can press a different button but randomly it’ll trigger R2/RT button.
Again, it only seems to happen within the first minute or two of the converter being plugged in and then after that point it works flawlessly. But has anyone else picked up that version of the converter and experienced this problem? Also tried checking out the site for the drivers but it seems one does not exist for the one I purchased.
Hi, any idea if you can improve the firmware to allow mapping of the touchpad click button to the back/view button with the X1/X360 to PS4 controller soon?
I just bought the X360/One to PS4 converter to use Xbox 360 and Xbox One sticks on the PS4. The sticks do not have L3/R3 buttons to simulate the PS4 touchpad click. In Ultra SFIV, Mortal Kombat X, Injustice and GGXRd (and possibly more upcoming), the PS4 touchpad button click has functions such as quick reset in training mode and other menu functions that can’t be used with sticks unless you can map the PS4 touchpad click to the Xbox 360 back button or the Xbox One View button.
It would be great to be able to swap the default mapping so it could be:
L3+R3 -> Share
View(on XO)/back(on X360) -> touchpad press
Of course, some people might prefer the default, but if there was an option to swap them using the settings mode, that would work for everyone.
