Brook Converters Thread

I just submitted an RMA, but any help here would also be greatly appreciated @“GOGO.Zippy” @Brook_Engineer
This is my second adapter, after the first one I got was defective (did not work at all out of the box. this replacement I’m having issues with now did, however)

@ShinMagus
That’s Right…Those two converters are the same hardware

Hi, I have a white Brook converter (PS3 to PS4) and it doesn’t work with my PS360+ PCB
As a test, it works fine with PS3 Dualshock 3 gamepad.

Brook converter is updated to latest firmware, same as PS360+.

What can I do?

PS: I’ve read earlier in this thread that the PS360+ compatibility was missed in some firmware version, could it be the case with latest Brook firmware as well?

I just got a new converter. Do I need to update the firmware for use with a qanba obsidian? It works with a dualshock 4, but not my obisidian at the moment.

@yzzerdd
Please set in PS3 mode and try

@“GOGO.Zippy” That worked! That was the only mode I didn’t try lol. Thanks!

Sorry for the dumb question…but I’m about to pull the trigger on a Qanba Q4 and was hoping to confirm the following for sure before I go ahead with the purchase:

But in order to work on an Xbox One, all I would need is to set it to Xbox 360 and then buy a 360/One converter, right? Or I could set it to PS3 and buy a PS3/One converter just the Same, right?

Thanks for the help in advance.

check your mail

both works

I’ve got a dualshock 1 I used on PS3 with a converter and now can’t get it to work on ps4. I got a few different converters for PS4 but can’t find a good combo to get my ps1 dualshock to register. Any way to get it active? If not, is there anyone who can gut my PS1 pad and rewire it for a ps4?

@“GOGO.Zippy” @Brook_Engineer
any recommandations here?

Can you try a shorter USB Cable with your PS360+? I’ve seen ps360+ boards working with the white converter :slight_smile:

I managed to get the beta firmware for the PS3/PS4 to Switch and for some reason now all inputs do not register. Am I supposed to do the button combination to get it to register or am I doing something wrong?

Ouch. Here it works, and there’s not supposed to be pairing anymore, unlike up to the previous firmware version (the latest official one as of today - November 7, 2017).

Does anyone know if the PS2 to PS3/4/PC Adapter will support a PS1 Namco Arcade stick? Recently got one to restore, just need to know if there is any issues with having it work with the adapter, or if I should just throw in an actual Brook PS3/4 PCB.
Thanks guys!

yes, there’s some problem with that…
we are working on it now…

it worked before, but not for now?

@Brook_Engineer

here’s how it looks on PC:

one more thing I noticed, the Brook device is recognized as PS4 Wired Gamepad V2.1 in Device Manager, but the controllers attached are listed as PS3 Wired Gamepad V1.9
could this difference version be an issue?

@ykd
Our compatibility list includes PS2 Namco TEKKEN 5 Arcade Stick.

Update on that DualShock 3 problem on the PS3/4 to PS1/2 converter.

It was definitely the ribbon inside the DS3 giving me the issues. Taped it up and no weird inputs at all. Thank you @Riderkicker
