Brook Converters Thread

I just got my PS2->Xbox one converter and my wheel doesn’t work with it (Logitech Driving Force Ex). Is there anyway to fix this, preferably I don’t have to send it back.

Anyone have tried the PS3/4 to PS3/4 version with a custom joystick using a Dual Strike PCB ?

Question to the fine gentlemen of Brook. Will the PS4 to Neo Geo adapter work with 6 button CPS2 hardware? I’m currently in need of acquiring a super gun (With Neo Geo controller ports) or I need to make my own.

Hey all! Had a quick but specific use question: will the ps4 ->PS3 converter let me play PS2 games on a PS3 through emulation? I notice that my PS4 hitbox/ ps4 controller disconnects whenever I play PS2 games on a 60gb PS3, and I was hoping a converter might help. Thanks!

As a follow up, I got a PS4 -> X1 converter at Evo and it’s dropping inputs regularly on every button except for the up and down inputs on hitbox. The hitbox works fine on ps4. Help!

I would love to get the PS2-PS4 Adapter

But, it seems like when a Firmwear for the Adapter comes out, Sony comes out with the New Firmwear to nuke it

I recently purchased a PS3/PS4 to PS2 converter. Works great with PS2 games! However I tried playing PS1 games on an original PSX, and PS1 games on the PS2. The adapter does not work when playing PS1 games on both the OG PSX and PS2 in PSX mode.

Controller I am using is a Dual Shock 4
I have tried turning off the analog mode as per the instructions, it was still a no go.

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Lately we haven’t had to update when Sony does. But it’s nice to know that if the converter needs updating to work Brook will do it.

Brook has responded quickly to the need for new firmware, which hasn’t happened often (most PS4 firmware releases haven’t compromised Brook products).

Wanted to bump Komaklub’s post from the last page so it didn’t get lost. He’s got a video example of an issue with the X360/X1 -> Wii U/Switch adapter, where the analog stick isn’t working correctly. See below. Is it possible that we’ll see this fixed in a firmware update?

that is actually what we are working on to address now
please give us some time

this is also actually what we are working on to address now

This is sad to hear, though not unreasonable for it to be incompatible. Sucks because I’m in the market for a dreamcast stick and my two options are buy a cheap ps2 stick with the converter or straight up buy a dreamcast stick.

I wonder if this is something Brook can tackle… It doesn’t sound impossible. Being able to use any given converters that expect a PS2 controller, like PS2 -> DC and PS2 -> GC/Wii (e.g., for TvC) would be a nice addition. I wonder if difficulties are voltage-related…

I keep getting VIDPID Uknow error message, ive even tried on 2 different computers, every usb port, turned off anti virus, everything i could think of, and everything ive seen in this thread. still vidpid uknow. Any ideas?

BTW it’s x360/XBO to PS4

I recently purchased a PS3 to Xbox 360 converter and am having issues getting it to work with my Madcatz Street Fighter 4 SE joystick. I plugged it in and then turned on the 360 and I see that the controller light is lit on the 360 power button, but the joystick is unresponsive. I saw that the SE is compatible with other converters on Brook’s website, but this converter isn’t listed so I could not verify. Is there anything else that I need to do to make the joystick work?

Also I am in the process of building a joystick with Brook’s PS3/PS4 board. Is that board by chance compatible with that converter?

Thanks in advance.

@Velinos
The Brook PS3/PS4 fighting board can support with the PS3 to Xbox360 converter.

I’m sure this has been asked before, but I cannot find a specific answer to the question so I’ll ask it here.

Is there a Brook converter that is PS3/PS4 to Xbox 360? I’m looking to use me TE2 fightstick for 3rd strike on 360.

Make sure to select the one you want from the drop down menu.

I appreciate the link, however this confirms what I’m looking for isn’t available. While the site lists a PS3 to Xbox 360 converter as “in stock”, it is not available in the drop down menu to purchase.

Thanks for the help.

Correction, found one on Videogamesnewyork.com

To many pages to go through in this thread, but do sega saturn USB controllers work with the PS3, to ps4 convertor? I dont see it listed as if it works or not on the website itself. Thanks
