Brook Converters Thread

My Brook PS2->PS4 adapter stopped working. When I plug it in the light on my PS2 pad is active for a few seconds then turns off. Is this due to the new PS4 firmware update?

Try reinstalling steam! I reinstalled Steam and it fixed whatever issues I have let me know if it works for you.

@JaguarSleepover
Please update the latest firmware to try.
We have tested this version on V4.72…it’s working.

This actually worked.

Nice Steam messed up something with the controllers and big picture mode, it worked for the other person I was talking with this about too.

i thought about that. after seeing your dilemma I’m glad i still have my hrap2

I’m having problems with the PS3/PS4 to PS2 converter on the ps2 slim. I’m just connecting the stick to the converter, then the converter to the ps2. Am I missing something?

which stick is it? more details for it?

Hey I’m having issues with my PS3/PS4 to Wii U converter on Switch.

  1. Only the 1.01 Standard edition firmware for the is working on the Switch. The PS3/PS4 to Switch firmware does not read any inputs, from both a PS4 controller and a HRAP 3.

  2. I have weird issues with the input dropping every couple seconds after I hold down a button (1.01 Standard Edition).

Any chance for PS3/4 to sega saturn/ dreamcast converter

No good sticks for sega saturn!!!

Thanks for the quick reply! I did update but it’s still the same behavior. Well, maybe it’s because my wife poured coffee over it after all. :wink:

@JDash247
Please set in PS3 mode on your stick and select PS2 on the top of converter.

Still not working. Won’t even work with a ps3 controller. Seems like the converter isn’t getting power from the slim ps2.

  1. try another port?
  2. what is the game you play?

not quite understand the situation.
input drop?
the 1 1 1 15?

What I understood is that even though the button was held down, sometimes it was as though the button were released. I believe that counter increased for as long as the button was held down. There were ā€œfalse button release eventsā€.

Tried both ports, still nothing. Won’t work in the ps2 menus or games like SDBZ and kofXI.

Same. Tried Tototek’s PSX to Saturn converter too. Nothing. I have a suspicion they might have programmed the ps2’s interface in a way that’s not compatible with PSX. I’ve noticed the PS360+ has issues registering PSX games on PS2 but handles PS2 fine. There’s issues registering buttons with that. A few buttons work (Up, and circle I think), while Brook’s adapter doesn’t register. Like PS360+ has issues with PSX games on PS2 hardware and exhibits the same problems with Tototek Saturn converter. My Brook’s adapter just doesn’t register at all with any converter (Tried the same ps2 to Dreamcast converter). Tested with Dualshock 3 and Marvel vs Capcom 2 Madcatz stick
