Brook Team

I’m unable to update cant get past the controller input part. Keeps going blue to red to blue again. Tried my PC and Laptop. Have the yellow p3/p4 converter. changed usbs restart nothing works.

Still needing help, been dealing with this for at least 2 weeks now almost 3 weeks. 360mad catz te stick with 360>ps4 converter. I added a video trying to get into update mode. If anybody has helpful ideas on how to get this work I greatly appreciate it. I’ve downloaded and tried the new files already as well, but still not able to play.

Guys try updating to the TE software that is posted on the download page. If that completes successfully - try the latest update. That worked for me on one of my converters.

argh I’m dumb. I think I was told I had the previous update since I bought the converters a month ago but the new one wont update as I’m getting not responding

Edit: finally got it to work I hope. Had to keep trying over and over until it didnt lockup. Need to test it.

Can you please help me out? I can’t update to anything except for 1.7 TE version, every other program just goes (not responding). I’m running it without anti virus + in administrator mode, so I have no idea what is causing it.

Edit: Mine is PS3 to PS4.

@cardwielder
Which file to update? it’s so far, I don’t see clearly.
If you never update 201604 in your converter, please follow newest updated manual to do 201604.

After 201604 then update 201607 to fix V3.55

The 201607 ran in simply updated mode without any controller and stick.

I shared three files for 360 to PS4 in my dropbox. Here are for 201604 and 201607
Please try again

@Spykr
Is it ok ??

@Chocobuny
Which converter do you want to update?

My PS3 to PS4 converter

Whenever I try to update, I get ā€œLDROM Detectedā€ when I click start. then after a while it says ā€œVIDPID (0c12, 1cf?) Not Found.ā€ Then the program just hangs. Please advise.

For Xbox 360 -> PS4 converter latest update.

Thanks

EDIT: Wrong thread/Answered, had 2 brook threads open and didn’t look at titles while posting because I’m dumb

Does anyone know a workaround so I don’t have to open up my stick to wire a button to the select button every time I need to update the board?

Wrong thread, dude.
This is the converter thread. Not the UFB thread.
And no, you need to wire up select to update.
I’m assuming you have Select wired up as ā€œTPkeyā€, which functions as select in non PS4 games, otherwise your question would be completely illogical (since select is a required key).
I have that as my setup and I just man up and wire up the original select button and not complain about it.

If you have a SPDT or SP3T toggle switch, like something that chooses between Left stick, DP or Right stick, or even a ā€˜console select switch’, you can always route that to select, since ā€œDPā€ is always wired to nothing, and LS and RS are connected to GND when activated. On my UFB modded Qanba Q4raf, I have the PS3/Xbox toggle switch wired to ā€œLSā€ pin on the Brook UFB, but since I can always hold down start+joystick left for 4 seconds to get LS, I just unhook that and wire select to ā€œXboxā€ switch for firmware updates (thus it’s instantly pressed when the USB is plugged in if switched to the Xbox position). Then when I’m done, I just set it back again, because I’m lazy and need to press a switch to instantly get LS mode for crap like Callus (SF2 Hyper fighting).

@Chocobuny
Here are they for V1.7(201604) & V2.0(201607)
Please follow newest updated manual to do V1.7

After V1.7, then do V2.0

The V2.0 is running in simply mode without controller and stick

@xavior
if you used V2.1(201607) to update, I suggested some items.

  1. change other usb port or other PC and reboot
  2. Waiting a few time.
  3. Change to use other OS like Win8/Win10

did you see update successful at the end?
or are you sure you download the correct file?

if there’s any problem during the process of firmware update, please try the methods as below:

  1. Disconnect, reconnect and retry
  2. Switch another USB port and retry
  3. Use another PC and retry
  4. Restart PC and retry
  5. Restart firmware and retry
  6. Shorten cable length and retry
  7. Make sure you download the correct file
  8. If you have installed ZeroPlus Driver before, remove it and retry

BTW, since this version, there’s no need to connect your controller to the converter, just connect the converter to PC to operate firmware update

I had the disconnection problems yesterday, Sony must have done some kind of stealth update as there is no mention of it anywhere !!

The latest firmware update has got it working again 100% and the new update method is a huge improvement and very easy to use…

So " Thank You " Team Brook " for the great customer support !! :bow:

I’ve been using the Xbox One / 360 to PS4 converter with an Xbox Elite Controller for a few months and it really works brilliantly with no lag.

If you’ve not yet got one, what are you waiting for ??

I always seem to get the BIDPID Uknow error when trying to update to the latest firmware. I tried two different PCs and quite a few different USB ports, anyone having the same issue?

Forgot to mention this is the 360/Xone to PS4 adapter.

Edit: this is what the log shows me
