I always seem to get the BIDPID Uknow error when trying to update to the latest firmware. I tried two different PCs and quite a few different USB ports, anyone having the same issue?

Forgot to mention this is the 360/Xone to PS4 adapter.

If no, please do first. Then do 201607 second…

No, I can’t update to that version. It does not recognize my controller, I get the “Please plug in controller” prompt and when I plugin the adapter it is not recognized. I’ve tried different ports and PCs as previously stated.

The controller I’m using is a Street Fighter IV MadCatz TE 1st Edition.

I bought my adapter around 3 weeks ago.

Still needing help, been dealing with this for at least 2 weeks now almost 3 weeks. 360mad catz te stick with 360>ps4 converter. I added a video trying to get into update mode. If anybody has helpful ideas on how to get this work I greatly appreciate it. I’ve downloaded and tried the new files already as well, but still not able to play.

Which file to update? it’s so far, I don’t see clearly.
If you never update 201604 in your converter, please follow newest updated manual to do 201604.

After 201604 then update 201607 to fix V3.55

The 201607 ran in simply updated mode without any controller and stick.

Can you please help me out? I can’t update to anything except for 1.7 TE version, every other program just goes (not responding). I’m running it without anti virus + in administrator mode, so I have no idea what is causing it.

Edit: Mine is PS3 to PS4.

Please follow newest updated manual to do V1.7

After V1.7, then do V2.0

The V2.0 is running in simply mode without controller and stick

My PS3 to PS4 converter

if there’s any problem during the process of firmware update, please try the methods as below:

1. Disconnect, reconnect and retry
2. Switch another USB port and retry
3. Use another PC and retry
4. Restart PC and retry
5. Restart firmware and retry
6. Shorten cable length and retry
7. Make sure you download the correct file
8. If you have installed ZeroPlus Driver before, remove it and retry

BTW, since this version, there’s no need to connect your controller to the converter, just connect the converter to PC to operate firmware update

Alright same problem. I tried an entirely different PC.

I update to 1.7 successfully.
Trying to perform the 2.0 update, the program stops responding immediately once you click “update”.

Both my computers are running Windows 7, so maybe that is the problem, but I do not have any higher versions of Windows to use.

Windows 7 isn’t the problem. I’m using W7 also. No problem updating the PS3-PS4 white adapter or the Brook Universal Fighting board on it.
Make sure you’re using a USB 2.0 port please. Even the Ducky Shine keyboards have problems updating their firmware on some USB 3.0 ports (blue). Same problem: firmware flasher just stops responding (I beta tested the Year of the Goat firmware so I know).

No.

The lovely thing about this new version is that you no longer need to install anything to that pc, so you can do it on just about any pc you can access, even 1 without admin rights like campus computers. Amazing

Any words on why 201604 does not recognize my adapter? It keeps asking me to plug it in the computer when it is already plugged in. It used to work before this firmware update without the 8min timeout. I keep getting the VIDPID Uknow error box. Tried everything, getting a bit disheartened.

Ok, everything works perfectly. I was being dumb. My adapter is 360 to PS4 and not 360/Xone to PS4. I downloaded the right files and everything went as smoothly as it could go.
