saw alot of nemesis play last night at nyc fight club, looks like one of his assist has invincibility frames
I thought it was pretty obvious the flame carpet does multiple hits thus draining the multiple points of armor on the Super. (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ But that’s just me attempting to be logical, don’t mind me.
You couldn’t be serious.
Looks like hyper armor if you ask me… but the flame carpet sort of debunks that theory. Not sure I guess.
Nemesis looks so damn badass. Looks to be the hulk-type character I wanted and my answer to Hulk.
Hulk: "Hulk Smash!"
Nemesis: “…”
Super awesome thread title
As opposed to chun’s ball super which only hits you once? :wtf:
So what is it exactly that has lead you to believe a character who relies on command throws is going to be mid or high tier in a game with as much zoning as mvc3, knowing that zoning will be even stronger in ultimate?
Yeah, that was kind of weird. I’m pretty sure the Flame Carpet only hit Nemesis three times, but I couldn’t see if Dorm was mashing c.L or something.
The “Mash for Armor” theory doesn’t seem so far-fetched right now.
In that vid, Nemesis only got hit three times by the Kikosho before he started hitting her. It’s either a low attack thing or a 5-hit max thing.
I think it’s b/c of how fast/slow some multi hitting attacks are. Sentinel’s cr.M is slow and 3 hits, which will probably lose to it. Dormammu flame carpet is multiple fast hits which is probably why it stopped it. The carpet beat the armor before his punch could hit dormammu and make the carpet go away. Maybe chun li’s kikosho super hits slowly or something.
1)Lets just ignore the fact that it does gradually less hits towards the end at a slower rate and it’s not like he walked into it during the beginning of it. <- Sarcasm just incase you didn’t catch it.
alternatively, this
Dos)Tentacles that zone 3/4 of the screen which are special cancellable? Where’d you get the idea he relies on command throws? :S
Yeah, no go back and look at it. He walked into it at the very beginning of the super, and you can even hear his armor absorbing multiple, very fast hits of the super. But hey, apparently you have the monopoly on “logic”.
3/4 of the screen? LOL.
Shiiiiiiiii- Alright, I was wrong. : P but it was only 3 hits absorbed as opposed to flame carpet which hits 5 times does it not? Eitherway this could have nothing to do with hits and be based on projectile durability(does flame carpet even count as one)?
As for the tentacles, they really do go about 3/4 of the screen horizontally dude. : P
Flame Carpet is obviously a projectile but it has no relation to armor. It is all about number of hits. Also he got hit 4 times by Chun’s Kikosho.

Seth goes over the clothesline super. Plasma beam beats it out on what seems to be the very last hit. I’m starting to get the feeling it’s armor is projectile durability related since plasma beam hits way more than 5 times iirc +the combo counter would pop up if there were more hits on plasma beam left would it not?
edit: Unless of course it was the light version which does exactly 5 hits which confirms our theory about 5 hits of armor I guess. : P
Plasma Beam L - 5 hits. Flame Carpet - 5 hits.
Then it’s confirmed. 5 hits of armor.
4 hits of armor, 5th hit breaks it.
Wasn’t the “5 hit max” thing said, like, 3 pages ago? Lol.
Oh you. :looney:
Just saying it doesn’t confirm it if you only have 1 example and nothing to compare it to sir. :wonder:
All the things that it beat did less than 5 hits. The one thing that beat it did 5. Seemed pretty logical.
Mmm very logical, but not quite. All the things it beat were beaten out before they did 5 hits(assuming they were capable 5+).
ex) Kikosho does way more than 5, but it was beaten out before it got to 5.
and the things we did see beat it did WAY more than 5 besides flame carpet (million dollars, firebrands super, shinku).
It was hard to judge if that was a bug/one time thing/move specific or what.
We had nothing concrete to go on, now we do.
