Bringing Sexy Back - Nemesis Discussion Thread (Pg.18 and beyond)

Damn. That throw. It’s probably his backthrow. Nice reference to RE3, too.

And his Rocket Launcher are normals? Hoo boy.

Anyone got footage of the famous Time Out pose? It’s not in the OP.

So, he has 2 grabs with the same animation that hit differently? Im confuzzled.
and im really hoping they fix his Lvl3 so its un-jumpable. It would be annoying to only use that like Doom XF cancel Dooms time.

When he does his anti-air(Diagonal) one he raises his arm a bit higher.

Here’s some footage of a command throw into combo -> OTG rocket super with a successful X-factor cancel at the end into air combo for a character death. First time I’ve seen someone pull it off.

Check out his air block “animation”:

Here is the moment where armored punching hyper got stuffed by Dormammu:

anyone ever think, its just not armor’d against lows… since you know flame carpet hits low…

Look at this lockdown with Iron Man and Nemesis…I guess there is a use for his missile assist LOL

his jumping C is really good. Has some good range. Also one of his assist where he does a overhead and a delayed rocket shot afterwards looks pretty good

wow, he has some interesting properties on his moves and some interesting moves altogether. cant believe flame carpet hit him out of rush super though. maybe it has upper body hyper armor and is only vulnerable to lows. tentacle grab is actually unblockable :amazed:. level 3 has BOOTY startup but great range. shoulder rush has armor on it.
that xfactor combo didn’t fully connect. he dropped the second aircombo. other guy just wasn’t blocking or mashing.

So in the one match I got to play after 5 and a half hours in line I must say from that one glorious match that Nemesis rocked my freakin’ world. He ANNIHILATED me, one combo and bam! There goes Cap! It was ridiculous. Wish I had more time to try, My Taskmaster got very close.

Why wasn’t there a combo counter then? If he wasn’t armored against lows, there should’ve been a 4 hit combo. Actually, if he wasn’t armored against lows he should’ve been pushed back by Flame Carpet unless Capcom unnerfed it.

I’m thinking Nemmy’s Normals have Thor-like hit stun on them. It would explain the character flipping out of that easy combo. And if Nemmy’s Rockets are normals, then what are the inputs for the different rockets, and is air rocket a normal too?

Strider Legion beats Nemesis rush super @2:46

ChunLi Kikosho loses to Nemesis rush super @1:08

Dormammu flame carpet beats Nemesis rush super @3:03

Firebrand flame super beats Nemesis rush super @2:28

i cant find the vid where it interacts with bionic arm, but it did absorb it in between the 5th and 6th punch, but got pushed back to far for the final hit IIRC. in any case, i’m confused about its properties. there’s only a few mechanics i can think of that would explain what we’ve seen so far.

-super has an additional input post-flash that grants it different properties
-only has armor during certain frames of each punch
-mashing is required to give it armor

and flame carpet probably didn’t multi-hit because of distance.

rockets aren’t likely to be normals considering he can j. tentacle xx rocket shot. on the other hand, i do think the optional rocket shot after rush punch specials is something like weskers teleports after ghost butterfly.

That was a “reset”. Seems like his OTG Hyper affects HSD badly.

Honestly doesn’t seem like anything beats it except maybe flame carpet so it might still be vulnerable low. All the other moves you showed beating it in fact just killed nemesis they did not beat the move. Even though he just plows through whatever you do he still takes damage(Think hisenko gold armor) so if you dont have enough life to complete the move of course youre gonna lose to it.

It didn’t really “lose” to Firebrand or Strider’s Legion, Nemesis just died there. He would still lose even if he had enough health. There’s no complex explanation, it has about 4-5 hits of super armor, that’s it. Dormammu’s Flame Carpet interrupted the hyper on the last hit, but since the video has rather low FPS it is impossible to tell if Dormammu was hitting Nemesis himself. The case with Chun is easy, Nemesis got hit only 4 times there (Flame Carpet does 5 hits).

I beleive it was ground bounce on his rocket hyper. Ground bounce usually badly affects HSD.

maybe, or maybe it can take like only 4-5 hits of super armor. Who knows.

ghostrider could jumped over a projectile to get in range for his jump S, but I guess he didn’t think fast enough or doesn’t know what the character can do. Honestly it looks pretty easy to get around.

that flame carpet shit makes no sense, and is seriously leading me to believe nemesis will be hakan-tier

I’m tired of everyone comparing mvc3 chars to sf chars. Like oh he’s the ssf4 gen, or they’re hakan tier. Or they’re like DJ, they get nerfed before the release of the game. AE Guile etc.

Come on, at least keep it in the vs series ppl.
