Also I find it harder to frame trap ppl with jabs, shorts and stepkicks
His normals might be faster but when they hit the opponent it seems like they can recover faster than they did in vanilla making it easier for them to jump out or mash jabs and short.
Standing mk is such a nice anti-air now . It comes out fast and has good range.

If you think scrub giefs was easy before, it makes me feel bad now. Breathless is such a good ultra as a anti air, I was landing it sooo much. Breathless cannot be broken by any of balrogs dash punches or TAP, it grabs him before the hit, you see a rush = free ultra. I was beating grabs left and right vs Geif also.
Oh, I also went thru a ex tiger shot up close.
Iāve been doing crouching fierce (both hits), light roll, crouching medium punch, Breathless (no charge time if the medium punch is late) and I havenāt been knocked out of it yet. Iām no frame mathematician so Iām not sure how many frames the opponent will have to react there. Anyone able to figure it out?
Well, any Breathless set-up will have at least one frame to get out, and since jumping is unthrowable from the first frame, any set-up you have will be very escapable.
Breathless mix-ups (which I havenāt bothered with yet honestly) will have to be built based on conditioning your opponent to do something that will lose to Breathless, then just breaking out the Ultra.
So if you have some reset mix-up, and you know your opponent likes to grab, or OST when put in that situation, Breathless would be a good choice.
IMO, though, the way people mash reversal (which will Armor Break Breathless) and jump-out against Abelās mix-ups, Iām not sure how great Breathless will be in mix-ups. If I were to use it, Iād mix-up into nothingā¦ then just react to the opponentās reaction.
If they neutral jump or jump away, Breathless could be good, depending. If they DP, then you get a punish combo, or you can just Ultra the recovery, etc.
There wonāt be any simple mix-up, but you can definitely use Breathless offensively and set up situations that are well in your favor.
Not to mention do breathless to bait a jump, cancel and anti air with C.Fp or Falling Sky.
Then cancel takes a little bit of time though.

i guess its all about mixin up again,sometimes you wont be needin the ultra damage to kill off someone so might as well cancel it and go for some better options that will do the jobā¦

Breathless is retardedly fast, I had a guy sit waiting to jump it on reaction and it grabbed him still lol, that ultra can put you in some real uncomfortable situations.
Dash back? Breathless. Jump back? Breathless. Jump up? Breathless. Jump at me? Breathless. This super covers pretty much every escape angle people have and Iām loving it.
On that not Wheel kick does feel different, but so does the game in general. Works the same for me. I havenāt been using FS much, I should start though, set up mix ups so well.
