Breaking Bad

srk needs to implement a “cool story bro. tell it again” icon.

LOL

It’s cute to have morals, and it’s especially cute to stand by those morals in good times. That’s easy to do.

But the moment things go bad, most if not all of you would cross the line in the sand to ensure you survive and you provide for those you owe responsibility to. To say you wouldn’t would be dishonest with yourselfs.

LOL

I guess the point flew way over your head. I’d figure it be easier to bullshit, which is why im not suprised you of all people would respond in this manner.

TL;DR

given enough money and your ass on the line, you’d do anything for self preservation.

Fixed for accuracy :coffee:

That’s what art is supposed to do. Open up conversations and take you places you haven’t gone before. What would you do if you were armed with powerful knowledge and capability (knowing how to make meth) and a dilemma the proportions of terminal cancer? I think about this a lot, as I ponder the number of IT security experts who may have danced with The Devil at some point or another. 10’s of thousands of dollars a month by capitalizing on ad revenue sharing? And it’s quasi-legal? And you can hack together some code that will automate it for you… Ya, morality is a bitch to maintain. Stan Lee and all. Power, sometimes even just the slightest bit of it, has quite the penchant for corruption.

And here we are, discussing it on a site about Street Fighter. I find that quite amazing.

“Anybody would shoot a kid if you gave them enough money.”

Yeah, no. I get what you’re trying to say, but this is one of those things where people who are fucked up are assuming that everybody else is as fucked up as they are.

And before you type your response, I’m just going to tell you right now that no. Just no.

in Canada it takes several months to get an appointment with an oncologist.many die while waiting for their appointment.

o rly?

I think some of you guys talking about seriously killing a kid to avoid Jail or for money have either never done anything bad enough in life to know what carrying around guilt and regret is like, or you just don’t have a conscience. I’d easily take 25 years in prison before killing a kid. I’ve never committed any real crimes in life but I have done things that I’ve lived to regret, that were hard to get over, and those are small things compared to taking the life of a child. So knowing what it’s like to carry around weight on my chest, yeah, I’d take prison any day opposed to having to live free with knowing I killed an innocent rattling around in my head. Something like that could potentially be an even worse prison than a physical one or drive one to suicide. Sometimes you can’t put a price on peace of mind. Hopefully, for you all saying you could do it, it’s just a case of something that’s easier said than done.

^
do you believe the life of a child trumps that of an adult? If so, what about 2 adults?

Also, I haven’t seen in mentioned but the last 2 episodes are 75 minutes instead of 60 minutes of air time

You forgot to mention all the added time is going to be commercials just for an extra 2 minutes of story oh wait that’s not good news at all omg

In my opinion that would depend on many different circumstances.

What I do believe is that if I’m in the middle of committing a crime - something I already know full-well that I shouldn’t be doing, something that there are many potential consequences for, something I’ve made the conscience decision to run the risk of getting away with or not - and some innocent kid just happens to accidentally roll up on the scene… No, I don’t have the right to kill him. At that point is where you say Okay, that’s my bad luck or karma biting me in the ass. You man the hell up, go to jail and do your time. Killing the kid is something only a spineless fucking pussy would do. Either that or you’re just a goddamn psychopathic freak.

^ you side stepped my question. what if it was an adult witness? two adult witnesses? kill or leave them to report you?

No, I didn’t. You didn’t say they were witnesses before. For all I know you were asking a general question. Adult witness… same thing. A life is a life if you ask me. Killing any innocent person who happens upon your wrongdoings and becomes a potential witness to it is just plain wrong. Although, in my opinion, killing a kid is worse because the kid hasn’t even gotten much of a chance to live life yet. And as for killing a Kid Vs 2 adults, heh; It’s all sick, yo. I’m not gonna waste any more time sitting here debating the better and worse degrees of murdering innocent people.

60 minutes of BB, followed by 15 minute recap of Low Winter Sun

You better be writing this bullshit behind a glass wall and rocking a ski mask.

see, at least he is being honest about it. And seeing as to how he has given a lot of thought to this, I bet you’d have a scenario where you would cross that line for self preservation of yourself or those you owe a responsiblity to.

Everybody has a price. Even people like you Goody. We all live in glass houses and wouldn’t hesitate to break them if the need came.

pedoviejo is posting from some post apocalyptic future where people murk innocent children for a pack of smokes and a 6 pack of beer. EVERYBODY HAS A PRICE!!

25 years is a long time for not pulling the trigger. I think I’d spend more time regretting the fact I didn’t pull it. That’s not to say I want to shoot a kid, I’m not a psycho, of course I don’t but if I’m facing 25 years in jail I’ve already condemned myself and if there is a way out what’s one more.

I’ve done plenty of shit I’ve lived to regret. Nothing that bad obviously, I’m honestly a pretty good guy most of the time, but enough that if I wore it all the time I’d just crumble underneath. Some stuff you can’t just carry with you, if it has happened, it has happened, you’ve just got to bury it, gird yourself into the armour of contempt and move the fuck on. No matter how bad something is, you’ve got the choice of how you let it affect you, it’s not hard wired that you have to take it a certain way, it’s just your natural reaction to it. Sometimes you need to teach yourself to deal with it differently.

Hypothetical moral situations seem to have no real place in discourse. A the cock I sucked today is the punch to the face I give tomorrow situation.

I do love that Breaking Bad show though.
