Lol at this Gus is gay nonsense.
Ever seen Gus with a woman?
Of course, it would mean that he’s an uncomfortable throwback to a time in mainstream fiction when gays only ever figured into the story as depraved villains.
Gus x Cynthia lol
Hector telling both Gus/Max during the Hermanos flashback while pissing in the pool: “They like what they see.”
Also he said “White meat and dark meat… don’t look like brothers to me…”
Anygay(?), I noticed a moment of awesome on “Salud” not easily discovered at first:
The moment before that sexy thick-ass latina bitch is putting a cigar in Jesse’s mouth, there’s a chica in the background attempting to walk towards the death stance known as Mike. She pauses just before infiltrating his reactionary gap, than sidesteps over to Morris O’Brian instead. LOL… Mike was a beast…
Wow. I never caught that little moment. Beast indeed. In actual BB news:
Casting for 11th and 12th episodes; no role given

Lois from Malcolm in the MIddle (can’t remember her actual name) will be in a couple episodes of the show toward the end.

she would make a great methhead
what if breaking bad was the prequel to Malcom in the Middle & the house where he raised Malcom and the rest was really a witness protection program?

90s style intro

I know the more skeptical of us might think the reality of a Saul spinoff wouldn’t be as great as the dream, but I really think it could be pulled off. Bob Odenkirk has hella comedy chops. I could see his old buddy David Cross fitting in somehow.
and I’m probably hella in the minority, but I’d love Tim and Eric cameos :clapdos::party:
a Saul Goodman show? Its a must watch, dude is great, he makes a comedy even from the most serious shit, how can u top his selling speech even when he is about to be executed
Someone made a Lego Breaking Bad parody:

Got all caught up on this show, excellent series! Looking forward to the series finale
This article isn’t spoilery, or even that noteworthy, but:
Here’s why I’m commenting on this: normally Vince is about as “I don’t know” with this show as you or I in the early writing stages (if you look out for his interviews). That he’s sure this will be good is a great hype raiser for me. The lack of open-endedness means most of the cast will die or rot in prison though. I’m sure of it.
On that note…
S5 plot points discussed
[details=Spoiler]How many of you think Walter White hasn’t committed his most heinous act yet? Objectively, what they did to that kid was the most heinous. Still, for us as a BrBa crowd, there are plenty of things that could be more evil. The most obvious being him “framing” Hank by suggesting to authorities that Hank was in on Heisenberg from the start. There’s no way that would allow Walt to somehow escape to wherever he came from in S5E1, but it’s a possibility. Less obvious (but more evil) is him just leaving his family (and/or Jesse) to die by his partners in the meth trade (did he discuss “quitting” with them?).
What do you guys think? Is Walt going to redeem himself a little with these last 8 eps, or will we actually WANT him to die by the end?
[/details]
At this point, Walt is capable of any kind of bastardry imaginable. Oddly, despite all the fucked-up shit he’s done to even the most innocent of bystanders, it’s what he did to Mike that stands out to me as one of the worst, purely because of how pointless it was and how much Walt genuinely respected Mike in the past.
At this point, he has killed someone just for… what, getting on his nerves? That’s straight-up supervillain tier. We can no longer expect that he’ll cling to any recognizable shred of morality or make exception for anybody in his life, including members of his family. I wouldn’t be surprised if he started using Walter Jr. or Holly as bargaining chips to further his own ends.
Anyone who had more than 1 quark of sympathy for Walter past season 3 is a terrible person. I love now no one can predict how the show will end with an ounce of certainty, the fact that the vast majority of fans are in such doubt speaks to the creativity of Breaking Bad. But if I had to bet on what emotional angle Gilligan and co will take with the last 8 episodes it would be the “realizes how evil he truly is when it’s way too late” trope. AKA he commits one final act of selflessness before dying, showing that even with all the evil he’s done there was a sickle cell of good within him all along which forces us all to posit the nature of good and evil and go back to the morally ambiguous beginnings of the show in a cyclic fashion.
Now what behavior can encapsulate such an ending? No clue, possibly some plot device that forces to Walter to destroy all the money he’s made in some attempt to save his family’s lives. Or better yet some unforeseen effect of Walters greedy machinations cause him to put his own family in danger, killing them in the process, now that would be an ironic Gilligan-esque twist too.
The second outcome, where Walt inadvertently (or not) kills his family, is more likely too happen than Walt realizing the error of his ways in my opinion. After listening/reading to Gilligan’s interviews he seemed to want bring Walter 180 degrees morally with no looking back at any shred of goodness in Walter. He could very well try to right his moral ship as the series winds down with one last action. At this point I don’t even think Walt even has that sickle cell of goodness that you mentioned. He is going to go out trying to protect his own ass putting his family and Jesse in danger. I think.
Either way, it’s time to go on a BrBa binge this week and watch all the episodes again.
I just don’t think selling out Hank is in his character, unless he can save his own ass in the process. The only reason he is in such a big mess right now is because he was going out of his way to Protect Hank from Gus. If he was willing to sell out his family for his own career, he would have done it already.
Now, has he gotten to that point where has changed so much, that his old cares are out the window? Maybe. But if so, that will be a character change that will define the next 8 episodes in a much, much different way than all the previous episodes.
And no, I’m not pulling for Walter White. I expect a Shield ending to the serious though…
Spoiler
In the Shield, the main character was an anti-hero as well, 4 crooked cop buddies. Long story short, The main Character is given a small window of a chance where he is told he can confess his crimes in return for immunity from them, for help in busting a big time drug lord. He spends about 12+ hours telling EVERY LITTLE DETAIL of crime he had done over the entire series (Murder, Money Laundering, Stealing, Drug Selling, etc) and in the process, fucked over his only remaining partner by condemning him for all those crimes while he walked away scot free, enjoying his new life as a desk jockey
So I expect Walter will survive, but make a hell of a sacrifice in order to do so
