I mean, he obviously got close with all these guys. He’d find young guys in college for chemistry, finance their schooling, keep in close contact with them, probably even becoming sexually involved at some point, make them really fall for his power, then indoctrinate them into the world of Meth. He found his perfect person with the perfect viewpoints, and then brought them into his fold. Gus was definitely gay. Pretty sure Gale was too. Maybe even Victor, who was involved with Gale, as was pointed out he was a bit TOO dramatic about the whole Gale killing for a cold blooded killer.
The cool part is it doesn’t change anything really. These aren’t gay characters in the meth world, they’re characters in the meth world who happen to be gay. But I’m pretty convinced the entire point of Gus’ meth operation was revenge for the love of his life.
I also started the series about 3 weeks ago and just finished it. One part I don’t get is when Jesse’s Jane died, they never mention it but I believed was Walt’s fault. Earlier in the episode Walt and Marie lay his baby on its side since case it threw up while sleeping it wouldn’t choke and die. Later Jane lays Jesse on his side after they got high so he wouldn’t choke on barf in his sleep. Finally at the end Jane and Jesse are both sleeping on their sides when Walt breaks in. While trying to wake up Jesse, he pushed Jane onto her back and she starts to throw up and ends up choking and dying while Walt just stands there. I think if Walt wouldn’t have come over she would’ve lived through the night or maybe if he just helped at all when she was choking.
Yup, that’s kind of implied. He’s directly responsible for her death. Even some people in this thread were arguing that he didn’t kill her, he just didn’t save her. But of course, she is dead because of him. He caused her to choke, and he refused to save her. Pretty much early on his his breaking bad, really a turning point for him into darkness
I thought he was going to tell Jesse in that “Fly” episode, maybe they’re saving it or if they have a final stand off.

At least Paul got it for Best Supporting. Makes me sad though. I know Cranston won’t get an Emmy for this past season, because all the magic of Walt transforming into an evil kingpin is gone, and it’s rough to play a character who’s gone over the edge. Still. This is a robbery.
yeah, there’s a scene in Homeland that’s more intense than Walter losing it.

I finally jumped on the Breaking Bad wagon and did a 2 week marathon of season 1-5 and im kicking myself for not watching this before. This show is fucking great and it sucks having to wait for the finale. I have a feeling Hank is gonna get offed in the final episodes.
Damn, Aaron Paul IS Jesse Pinkman. I happened to catch his acceptance speech, and the mannerisms and everything… I see no difference between the two. The way he was breaking down and freaking out that he won… Wow.

Guh. One of my friends just visited Albuquerque and brought back some of the gimmick blue rock candy that they sell there. So ne0phyte posted a picture of it on Facebook with the caption “Intervention? Intervention? Intervention?” (i.e. Community). This morning, my mom sent my dad over with no explanation because her immediate conclusion was that A. I am in possession of real drugs and B. I am in need of actual intervention.
My dad, who has actually seen the show, complied for some reason instead of talking her out of it.
I’m glad my parents are concerned for my life, but still… I have no idea how I turned out the way I am.
