Of course it worked. Mike questioned it too but we know it worked because Walter fucking white said it did. That’s all we have to know. Magnets bitch. Lol
“How can you be sure?”
“Because I said so”
LIKE BOSS
walt’s god complex = too good
he played a wussy in Alien 4
When he said “I forgive you” I got chills
future walt looks gangster as hell.
I don’t get why Mike was so pissed off…I mean I guess he’s out of a job…
This thread is chock-full of spoilers, even if they are minimal.
I think Mike knows that Gus was the glue that held things together. With Gus out of the picture Mike thinks shit is going to really hit the fan (and it will because we’re talking about Breaking Bad). When has Mike seemed so scared before? He was getting ready to split town, because things are going to come crumbling down on top of our hero’s.
I think that in this thread, current spoilers are to be expected if you aren’t keeping up with the show. It would be cool if people tagged that stuff, at least for the following week or so, which I intend to do. But it’s probably foreseeable that it won’t always happen, because not everybody agrees about the time frame of that stuff.
What’s bullshit is untagged spoilers for stuff that hasn’t even happened on the show yet, by people who probably frequent websites that specialize in that kind of discussion… which this one doesn’t.
I’ve never used the report function on people who aren’t here to spam ads, and I’d rather not start doing so. But I expect to be able to come here and discuss the latest episode. That’s 99% of the purpose of a thread like this. I can’t do that if I have to worry about inadvertently exposing myself to advance information.
Spoiler
I was very surprised Mike helped them. Since Gus and Mike’s introduction they have always been the professional, discrete contrast to Walt and Jesse’s inexperience and tendency towards emotionally driven actions that hinder their criminal activities. Maybe it was supposed to show Mike’s affection for Jesse?
I agree with you on that man. I was thinking about that, and I can’t see Walt and Jesse doing what they did and just walking away from it. I also I was annoyed at how they did Gus to begin with, I almost felt like the writers pulled it out of their asses because we all knew how intricate Gus is. After watching today’s episode I really can truly say that I really dislike Walt.
Yeah I don’t care about a current episode. I expect that, but the rules for GD state you have to keep shit in spoilers for different time zones and for anything that happens in the future. People don’t adhere to that and it’s pretty fucking annoying.
I’m nearing the end of season 4.
“Do you know who shot Miguel, Hector?”
Gus is so fucked up in an awesome way.
Guaranteed to be at least one question here you forgot to ask.
[spoiler=]Great episode, unexpectedly was more of a slow burn than a short fuse like S4. Ted being alive was mentioned in S4 so I was expecting to see him make some kind of appearance, and I don’t think a single soul even thought about the camera angle, that was such a breaking bad-esque surprise. My favorite part by far was when Walt made the truck tip over I died laughing and watched that part online 3 times, also this episode proved to me that Walt’s moral decay is irreversible, there will be no redemption unless he takes a bullet for Jesse or something like that.[/spoiler]
If Gretchen and Elliot are somehow involved with Madrigal and therefore had some willful involvement in Walt’s cooking my mind will be blown.
Slow burn
Spoiler
Season 4 started out as a pretty slow burn. The first episode was so spaced out, it felt like a painful, episode-long Hitchcock-esque buildup to something horrible… which it was.
Maybe they will be involved with Madrigal, but know nothing about Walt’s venture. I’ve heard that…
another company that will be mentioned again
[details=Spoiler]Gray Matter will be talked about a bit more over this half season.
As for my own speculation, I bet if Walt’s building his empire, he’ll hire someone who turns rat/was undercover/wants to take over. I mean, Walt’s God Mode is interesting to watch, but you just know from that 501 teaser that shit will crash terribly.
[/details]
I figured that there would be a timeskip, but it seems that they’re probably saving that post-midseason finale.
Magic Mike
[details=Spoiler]
It was to save his own ass. He knows what’s at stake beyond just the authorities; Walt and Jesse don’t know the innerworkings and where all the threads lead with the immense power vacuum since the recent death of Gus [/details]
Fixed.
Word. ( Although I’ve been saying since last year that Gus’ silent partner would probably be the final boss[es] )
I think part of the fact is that he’s seen Walt in action, and he knows what kind of boss Walt might be. Whereas Gus was methodical, slow, passionless (except for a couple minor areas), extremely cautious, and had magical ESP, Walt is volatile, unpredictable, and almost insanely egotistical to the point of being self destructive. I mean, given that list of traits, who do you think would offer the better long-term chances of survival?
