Good ep. Fun ep. A big change from season 4, which got pretty heavy for a good long while. It’s not necessarily a return to the days when Walt and Jesse are always in over their heads, but it’s great to see them in yet another situation in which a weird-ass problem calls for a weird-ass solution.
Not sure what to make of that opener, though. It’s one of those creepy pink bear non-sequitur type openings. Maybe, once again, we’re being led to believe the wrong thing.
Or not.
And Anna Gunn really needs to stop going under the knife. Her face looks different every season, and this one is no exception.

That was another thing I liked: after all the turmoil and all the training, no matter how hardened he becomes, Jesse is still Jesse. It’s going to be bizarre to see Aaron Paul in other stuff once this is all over.
The opener is foreshadowing where the season is going. That was mentioned in an interview last week. Think of the beginning of episodes of season two.

No one has brought up the Madrigal company. They were pretty much working with Gus, and guess who else was involved, Gretchen and Elliot.
I mean, why else would Walt buy a M60? He is going to go over to the company and kill everyone there, including Elliot and Gretchen. He wouldn’t buy a big gun like that to kill just one person. The promo for the second episode of Season 5 is online, and shows footage of the company and its boss, the new character.

I don’t particularly care to know who “the final bosses” of the show are, let alone of the next episode, until I actually watch the show.
It wasn’t trying to kill the hard drive, it was resetting the values on it. If you put a strong enough magnet on a hard drive, tape, or anything that record data really (I think CDs and DVDs, floppies, and flash drives are exempt) it’ll reset the alignment putting them back at zero. What they did could work, but I don’t know how plausible it is for them to actually pull it off.
