I saw this episode 3 times now and having either of them do it doesn’t make any sense at all. they better have a good explanation!
I’m hoping the explanation is good, but I’m thinking it won’t be.
Edit:
Discussion of 413, including the capsule summary and the sneak peek clip on AMC’s site
[details=Spoiler]http://www.amctv.com/breaking-bad/videos/breaking-bad-sneak-peek-episode-413-face-off
In this clip, we see Walt breaking in to Saul’s office trying to get a hold of him. The secretary forces a bribe out of him. I know he meets up with Saul, because this is the capsule summary of the episode:
Walt and Jesse team up to take on Gus. With Saul’s help, Walt finds an unexpected ally.
In terms of the whole poisoning thing, this suggests that if Walt poisoned Brock, he didn’t have Saul’s help with getting the cigarette at all. They might have kept close contact on something like that (even if Saul didn’t know why Walt wanted the cigarettes). Here, Saul’s gone and Walt has to pay to get a meet. He probably left as soon as he told Jesse he was bolting. I’m not sure if that excludes Walt or just raises more questions.

regarding ricin
Spoiler
Gus has probably seen Jesse mess with his cigarettes near food before, considering Gus probably videotaped the meeting with the cartel that Jesse was a bodyguard at and Gus had him start the coffee, and Jesse pulled the case out and started thinking about doing it. And since Gus watches ALL the tapes himself you know he probably saw that. Plus the time at Gus’ house when Jesse was considering putting it in the cooking pot. And Gus obviously has cameras at his house, otherwise how would he have known Walt was coming when in the snub pistol episode?
Has anyone in here asked the question how did Gus, exactly, poison Don Eladio and his capos? I mean, had Gus or Walt made any mention of the ricin ciggy or even showed it after that point?
I don’t think he used ricin there since they all pretty much died right away
haters g-g-g-gonna h-hate
What kind of time frame is needed before the effects of the poison take place? I do believe there was a time lapse (perhaps a small one) during the party after they had the salutations. Could’ve been an amplified dose…you never know…
That was the big deal about ricin in the first place: it doesn’t kick in for days. Otherwise, why not use something faster?
ep 412
Spoiler
There is this theory where its not ricin that was used, but Walt used the plant that the gun pointed the third time he spun it.
Apparently that plan has some toxin or something that can be used to poison people(not sure if its fatal or not). Not sure how true this is though.
So, ricin wasnt used + Saul helped walt replacing the cig box with another one without the ricin (so that jesse will think its ricin thats doing the kid).
Either that, or its a coincidence/accident… which is kinda lame if its true.
As for gus doing it, I dont know, not saying its impossible, but yeah I dont think he did it.
You’re gay and you haven’t come out of the closet yet
the thing about this ricin stuff is that we don’t know how it affects kids. it might take days to kill Gus, but quickly wreak havoc on Brock’s system

I love how Walt tells the redneck version of himself and Jesse to fuck off.
gahh skyler is such a cunt
I need walter to get back to heisenberg status. dude is such a victim lately. man up.
Spoiler
…He just tried to kill the sole meth kingpin of New Mexico with a car bomb he made himself on a kitchen stove.
true, but the way he carries himself is just weak.
It’s coming up. I’m so excited. You guys stay away from the internet. This time I was lucky to not see it, but I hear there’s a review article or two that are REALLY spoilery about the finale. Your best bet is to just play games/watch porn until the finale like me.
so yeah,
Spoiler
he did it.
The poisoning
Spoiler
So, Walt somehow got out of his house with some of Gus’ henchmen possibly watching outside and got poison berries to Brock? AND he got the cigarette? Remember, the cigarette is the key to Jesse thinking it’s Walt. Without it, Jesse just thinks Brock got sick. Though, he might remember that Walt could make ricin anyway and come there.
I’d be just hating this if I didn’t heavily suspect that they will explain this in full next season.
The finale was still good though.
YEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HEISENBERG BITCH!!!
Alright when do we take off the spoiler warnings on this shit? a day? two?
Spoiler
Im happy with how this was resolved… good enough for me. But yo it was kinda sketch that Gustav would even be able to take a couple of steps looking like a terminator… The one loose end is Mike. Props to Salamanca for taking the suicide mission. Now everyone who knows about Walt and Jessie is gone except for Mike and Saul.
