This is no different than any other sponsorships, the company is sponsoring a player because they’re getting their name out there. The fact that they’re adult orientated should make no difference. You don’t want to be “adult things” at Evo? Fine, call them BRZ, make a rule whoever refers to them by the full name (on stream) is permanently pulled off stream and if they say it again (after fair warning), they’re banned from competing that year. But don’t completely censor them by not even mentioning anything about them, “in any way shape or form”.
If this seriously what it takes for more people to get sponsored, giving more players a chance to travel around the country and live “the dream”, then I’m all for it. By nipping this in the bud, less players will be able to travel and improve, stagnating the top 10 players to what they’re already at. I want to see fresh blood, I 100% support what Brazzers is doing.

I’d be sponsoring myself because that’s how ish worked back in the day… I don’t need to wear a shirt that says someone paid for me to get here just to have fun.
Sponsorships are for those folks who want the opportunity but can’t with their current job but have some decent talent and personality for the scene, imo.

Why would that be? I think a sponsorship from an alcohol company is even worse. You have to be 21 to drink, it causes way more deaths than having sex, you get canned if you’re caught underage with it (or beaten to death by your parents) being in public drunk is a crime and etc.

Alcohol isn’t as taboo in Europe. Whereas pr0n universally doesn’t get any better wherever you go in the world.
Alcohol also expensive and more difficult to access (just like cigarettes) - you need someone if you’re underage.
Considering the amount of sex appeal inserted into your average fighting game, a porn company looking to get in on the action seems only natural. I 100% support this move and am excited to see where it leads.
Also I’ll never understand the anti-porn sentiment. When most of the population is involved in it somehow - viewing it or making it - and pretty much everyone in the world has and enjoys sex on some level, you’d think people would be more open toward it.

Taking an American example. Beer companies sponsor stuff like baseball games, and there is no problem (surely kids of baseball mom and dads watch this)… just as long as no one is drinking in an advert.
For sure, I mean I guess it would be kind of bad if there was a porno filming at Evo or something with 20 dudes dogpiling a chick and Noah watching while he awkwardly gets a boner.
