Yeah, I’m reading the rotten reviews and it’s obvious that people just don’t understand how Spidey’s persona is in the comics. Found one guy slammin’ on the corny jokes… I stopped right there.
Haha this movie probably will get low 80’s at most because of all these stupid complaints. Whatever. It’s not like I made the movie, why should I care if it gets good reviews or not?
Yeah, movies are available to all audiences, and having one that follows the comics won’t please everyone.
I do agree with that, but spidey’s corny jokes are a must, it would be a little less Spider-man without them. Also, about this movie having some of the same plot points as Spider-man in 2002 (75% of the negative reviews say that it gives you de ja vu), I kinda expected that. As long as the tone is different it will feel new enough to me. Have you read the review for the movie on IGN?
Nah, I haven’t. I finished with reading reviews after 2 minutes and I refuse to try that with another Marvel movie, lol.
haha well they said that it was too similar to SM1, but it had too much of a Dark Knight feel and tone. Does that not count as a big difference? They can’t really drastically change the origin, so some plot points are bound to be the same. It doesn’t help that they had an article about how Spider-man is a really tragic character and lives in a dark world, so the tone isn’t really just a copy of the Dark Knight. Anyway, two more days until I can see it in theaters. I’m pretty excited.
Movie is hella good. It feels nothing like Dark Knight. It’s a more grounded Spider-Man, which is great.
And they captured his movements/combat as well as you can imo. Worth seeing for that alone. 2nd act is the best.
Right now, I’m putting it right next to SM2, but that’s subject to change after more viewings. Very entertaining movie nonetheless, esp. for webheads.
I had plans to see it today. They got soiled. Now I am planning to see it on Thursday. The Rotten Tomatoes score is going down the shitter, but that probably isnt going to matter once I actually see it for myself.

I saw it today, it was good I can see WHY it gets the ‘low’ ratings. On top of it being a reboot the bar was set pretty high by the first movie which in case we have forgotten was really good it was the 3rd one that just…bombed.
I don’t really want to spoil anything so um yeah, I had a great time, I love spidey and every second of web swinging/fighting/wisecracks was golden to me.

Watched it last night. I thought it was awesome but my brother didn’t like it. It is probably because he doesn’t really know much about spider-man and thinks Tobey was the best lol. This movie just felt like spider-man a lot more to me.

He doesn’t run spidey anymore. Also The Amazing Spiderman: The Game is fun as shit and I just started playing it today. I love the Batman combat and level up system plus the swinging is fun once you get the hang of it. Now if only I could memorize all the inputs for the combos so they don’t seem as random. I could think of some fun shit to do.

I wish I had the game but I just got a couple new games so I don’t think I am going to get anymore games for a while. Redbox has it though so I might rent it one of these days.

It’s a worse Spidey mod of Arkham City, def a little jankier. Still pretty fun though.
Eh for what it is it’s pretty straight. For a minute I thought they improved the combo system from Arkham but it’s still random preset animations. Hmm I wonder what a sandbox Spidey game would be like with a custom combo system like DMC or Bayonetta (same guy I know) would be like. I think that would truly unlock Spidey’s true feel.
Anyways as for this game, if they had more random thugs just looming, more difficult trials, kept the wall and aerial fighting plus the ground mechanics, and actually made something out of those camera opts, oh plus a more fluid web swing system, the game would easily be the best one out. Seriously it took me halfway through the game to get use to the swinging, which became more of a bitch when fighting the Spider Slayers across the city. For max control you really have to know how to control the camera and angle at buildings that are too low for Spidey to swing on :sad: Also needed more high buildings. Spidey swings too slow at higher altitude.
A lot of good ideas but implementation hurt it. Definitely looks like they may make a sequel to it though which is good since it wasn’t a direct copy of the movie but still ties in. I’m still interested in seeing where they go with it.

Shailene Woodley (some girl) in talks to play MJ in ASM2, and Electro to be one of the rumored villains. Not sure how I feel about multiple villains, but I dig this girl as an MJ. Also, Electro could be done really well too. Harry supposed to be cast too.
Hopefully this one sets up a dying Gwen in the third
