Details:
System – XBOX360. BYOC if you have a certain stick you want to use. Not sure if during the 5v5 we’ll just switch sticks, but I’d imagine thats what will happen. NOT 100% Sure
Note: The character you use in this “qualifier” will be the one you will be using at BR
If we are going to do some kinda a play-in for the empty spots on the team i think thats fine. A round robiin would probably be the fairest way of going about this. Either way I have plan on showing up and taking one of the spots.
I would prefer the next tuesday option because i have work on friday and i can not get it off. 3 people recently quit so it’s only me there now.
im not much of a team player(as if gen has anyplace a team anyway lol) but i agree this is probably the fairest way to fill the empty slots other then straight up tournament results but obviously ray is gone etc. or we could just let everyone have 1 match with BBH and let him decide lol.
Because if we go by last tournament results (which would probably be Bloody Knuckles) then I would somehow have a spot on the team, which I don’t think I should automatically get by any means. I’ll still fight for a spot
well i meant TOTAL tournament results. if you placed that high on average from as many tournaments as we can reference i would not be against you having a slot.
but again no Ray lol
All joking aside this brings up an interesting question. What if two people who play the same char win a spot? For example…(keep in mind this is all hypothetical and i am assuming alot so correct me if im wrong)
Say scotty does show up and wins a spot with Rog and I also win a spot with Rog. Then do we do some kinda of sudden death playoff or what? Does the person who loses the playoff get the boot for somebody else who plays a different char but my not be necessarily as good, or does said loser get a second chance with a different char to fight the person below him to see if he can still win and keep his spot? Would it be more advantageous to select a char that you know nobody else will use, but you may not be quite as good with him from the start?
So if it comes down to it, I think ultimately come down to who has the better record throughout the tournament, and if its a tie, then it would have to be a battle off.
I’m not 100% on what we would do, guess we’ll worry about that when the time comes. I just know two characters that cant be used
at NWM there was confusion/disagreement over the Toronto team(or w/e the Canada team) having 2 Ryus, i think after it was noticed the 2nd Ryu player had to use a different character. after being at that tournament my understanding was that you cannot have character repeats, but this is a different tournament and i guess it would be up to Jetay, or maybe consult with the Seattle team as well. just my 2 cents.
Whichever rog gets more points gets the spot. You cant change characters in the 5 vs 5 tourny nor should you be able to in this 1. If its a tie then we are gonna see 1 gross ass rog vs rog to decide.
Head to head or round robin with people wanting a spot is alright but If you can’t take games from the people already on the team, you’ll most definitely will get scraped during the real 5v5. And has Jetay even signed off on this
During that thing, team BC only brought down 5 players so, from what I understand, is that since no one really had any problem with it, it was cool…at least thats what I remember
In the case of a tie, watching who’s better at a rog mirror doesn’t usually help much…run a quick gauntlet for each player and see how they perform? each vs. the rest of the determined team, allow the team to decide? PLAYGROUND RULES. Just my pennies.
