JMM’s been knocking out people lately but his still behind Pacman. I’d like to see part 3.
damn mosley’s somewhat hot k-wife is divorcing him, sucks to be him lol.
A dumb question from someone who recently got really into boxing.
How much do tickets run from and how far in advance do you have to grab em? I really would love to see a live boxing match.
HBO PPV broadcast fights ( or a really good HBO’s “World Championship Boxing” card) would at least have the biggest names in boxing. Cheap seats in Las Vegas start at $50, but goes as high as 150, 250. For lower level: 500, 700, 800, 1000, 1500.
HBO’s “Boxing After Dark” , Showtime’s “Sho-Box” and sometimes ESPN’s “Friday Night Fight” series feature up and comers and is in a lesser budget so ringside tickets are a steal at $150.00- $250.00. Sometimes the main event should be worth more then that. I’ve been to two of these events (including this upcoming weekend) and I’ve gotten ring side tickets for both. Well worth it and you’d be surprised how close to ring you really are. If one of these cards happen near your area, this is a good first fight card to watch live.
There are non televised local fight cards depending on your area. In Sacramento, there are local fight cards that would, of course have, local club-journeymen, up and coming fighters.
When a major televised fight is announced, maybe two months before the fight is when tickets go on sale. Usually on 10:00a.m., I goto ticketmaster and get them ASAP. Though ticketmaster rapes you on the extra charges, I don’t know any other place/ choice.
I didn’t know Klitschko is 6’7"

Come on Barrera
I’m gonna try and watch the fight online, there is no way I’m paying to see Khan fight I refuse. It’s not that I’m cheap either as I paid money to see Hatton fight Mayweather and Malinagee and I intend to order the Pacquiao fight. ( Not a Hatton fan just that other fights are free on Sentanta).
I expect Barerra to win as Khan can’t take licks. Mexican fighters can take punches, Barerra only needs to catch Khan to wobble him then it’s done.
I wasn’t at all surprised by the Barrera/Khan outcome. Roach (already having two wins over Barrera) wouldn’t have advised his fighter to take it if he wasn’t 100% sure he could win as it was such a big step up from what he’s use to.
Although saying that, i was still pretty pissed with the way it ended.
that ending was such bullshit, the fight should’ve been stopped in the 2nd round and declared a no contest. don’t wanna be a conspiracy theorists, but imo they definitely only let that fight continue past the 4th round so that khan would get the win.
Goes without saying. Barerra’s cut was no worse in the 5th than it was in the 4th. They should have stopped it earlier but they wanted Khan to win. They stopped it just at the right time as every second Khan is in the ring, he’s at great risk.
I just think it’s fucked up that they use a future HOF as a sacrificial lamb, he got screwed over.
vitali klitschko/gomez is being showed live on espn classic right now
eh, missed the first 4 rds. I hate watching fights in European countries with euro fighters, I just assume they are gonna win no matter what.
lol well when the klitschko bros are involved thats pretty true
EDIT: yeah…gomez just got knocked down, he’s on his way out lol
It doesn;t help when the first three rows of the seats are filled with suits Something just always bugs me about that.
well that’s that. granted it didn’t end up mattering, but i wonder if europeans think that american refs are as terrible as we think there’s are. that point deduction was beyond stupid and uncalled for.
Bernard Dunne is fighting Ricardo Cordoba for the WBA Super Bantamweight title tonight in Dublin.
I reckon it’ll all be over in one or two rounds with Dunne being knocked out.
Live streaming here: http://www.rte.ie/live/
The card has already started.
Think the title fight might be on next.
thanks for the link. its been a while since we have seen an Irish world champion. With set backs from Andy Lee and John Duddy, I didn’t know an Irish would fight for a world title for a long time. An Irish Super Bantam at that too.
it’s rare that I miss a chance to watch a fight but I missed the vitali klitschko vs. Juan Gomez bout. How was the fight?
Looks like Dunne is going to get knocked out here.
but, Dunne did score two knock downs . it’s a good fight. I hope my connection holds up well
This is the best boxing fight I’ve seen in a long time.
