^^^ I hate it when I miss out on a good fight.

Some notes in the world of boxing ( on the top of my head):

  • Paul Williams vs. Ronald “Winky” Wright. Should be a good fight, but I’m not going to get my hopes up on this.

  • the whole boxing media is on fire about a potential July 11 return fight for Floyd Mayweather Jr. He’ll get a comeback fight, someone soft to get his timing back and by then, the winner of Pacquiao vs. Hatton awaits ( most likely if Pacquiao wins).

  • Roy Jones Jr. is fighting tonight.

  • Carl Froch vs. Jermain Taylor <-- don’t sleep on this one

  • Mark your calendar for Vic “the raging bull” Darchinyan vs. Joseph “king kong” Agbeko. I seen Agbeko fight live before, very good. this is a fight a year candidate.

  • Miguel Cotto vs. Jousha Clottey. Don’t miss this fight. on the eve of the puerto rican parade, expect a loud, crazy, madison square garden New York audience.

don king is challenging barrera’s lost against khan, saying it should be a no contest. about time somebody said it.

I agree, it should had been an “NC”. But, it was in Amir Khan’s home country and that fight was made to get a big win on Khan’s resume. Not much of a victory over a faded Barerra, IMO, and it’ bad how Frank Warren used Bararra for Khan.

you’re saying barrera would’ve lost regardless? if so, i don’t think you can make that judgement since he fought the majority of the fight with a giant gash on his that was clearly affecting his vision, and even then khan wasn’t looking terribly impresive

I’ve never had a boxing coach and am self taught on using the speed bag. Instead of using the sides of my hands I use my knuckles. Will this help my hand speed more or should I switch back. So far its helped my form, and I have more control and speed but I never see anybody faster than me do it.

i haven’t hit the speed bag in a while but it wouldn’t hurt, I would believe, as long as you have good padding.

Paul Williams pitched a shutout on Winky Wirght as expected. Kelly Pavlik is fighting Sergio Mora, how about giving Paul Williams a shot after the Mora fight.

Floyd Mayweather jr. might have a comeback fight against Juan Manuel Marquez. Would be a good fight if it happens.

Pacquiao vs. Hatton 24/7 part 1. Again, very good production by HBO.

Taylor would’ve won if his stamina wasn’t rubbish.

just watched 24/7. both look really sharp. i have the feeling this is going to be a good fight.

Yeah, should be a good fight. Hattan really needs to go on the offense early on, if not… manny will come on very strong during the second half. And I don’t see this going past 9 rnds in Hattan’s favor.
