Did Mike Tyson ever fight Bob Sapp? Seeing them in the ring together after Sapp’s fight got me pretty excited, and I don’t even watch boxing. Did that fight ever go down? And if it didn’t, who do you guys think would take it?
Mike Tyson hasn’t done shit as far as I know. Who would win it? Hmmm, I guess in his prime Tyson would out brawl anyone, but I don’t know about now. He was pretty sad in that last fight. But then again I hear Bob Sapp isn’t the greatest by any means either.
Yeah, all I read is how bad Bob Sapp is, but damn that guy is huge. I would love to see those two guys go at it. But yeah, I’d think Tyson would take. Especially if he was in his prime.
Kermit “the frog” Cintron is a crybaby faggot. He also cried like a bitch when Margarito beat his ass twice. Martinez’s reputation gone up on this fight while Crintons name is in the gutter.
the first boxing PPV this year. I think this is a good fight card if you are a fan of both Cotto and Pavlik. There is an intriguing storyline if these two fighters can comeback from devastating loses. Pavlik, probably, has the harder fight, but is still the Middleweight champion, don’t forget that. Cotto has a lot more to prove after a knockout loss. I maybe gullible to think this will be a competitive card tonight, but I’m a fan of both fighters so I’ll be putting PPV money on this fight.
Kelly Pavlik vs. Marco Antonio Rubio; Middleweight Championship. I seen a couple of Rubio’s fights and has a decent chance against Pavlik if he uses his movement like in his last fight.
Miguel Cotto vs. Michael Jennings; the UK media has hyped up their man to god like status and I’ve been very annoyed by it. I wouldn’t mind seeing Cotto pummel this dood
John Duddy vs. Matt Vanda; if Duddy wins and Pavlik wins, they will meet each other next fight

lol @ bacardi’s consecutive contradicting posts.
Hey gotta support my fellow countryman
lol @ bacardi’s consecutive contradicting posts.
Good action last night with wins by Glen Johnson on FNF and Cruiserweight champion, Tomasz Adamek on ShoBox.
This is the biggest fight of this year so far, the best lightweight match-up that could be made. This should be a very good fight tonight.
Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Juan Diaz
A packed Houston crowd, a Mexican legend and current lightweright champion and a former lightweight champion Mexican-American. This is one of the few fights where the older fighter is betting favorite over the, ten years, younger opponent.
I can see this fight going two ways, Juan Manuel Marquez outboxes Diaz very easily. Countering Diaz at the end of his punches, keeping the fight on the outside and away from Diaz expected plan to attack the body. Diaz wants to fight on the inside and Marquez needs to keep him out.
Juan Diaz has youth on his side and will test the body and legs of Marquez. Can Marquez move for 12 hard rounds while taking body shots along the way? Will his older legs give in to the younger fighter. Youth can override style flaws that Diaz may have. But, Diaz better watch those right hand counters. Marquez is the harder hitter of the two.
I’d say, Juan Manuel Marquez takes this fight by a UD 7-5 or 8-4. This fight is in Houston, so maybe a close fight would go to the hometown fighter. But, JMM is the most intelligent fighter in boxing right now and is second best in the world p4p. JMM is a special fighter and it takes another special fighter to beat him, and as good as Juan Diaz is, I just don’t see anything special in Juan Diaz.
Chris John vs. Rocky Juarez <— interesting under card fight. undefeated featherweight champion from Indonesia, Chris John makes his American debut against a fighter fighting for a championship for the fifth time in Rocky Juarez. Chris John is known for his win against Juan Manuel Marquez.
The hype for Manny Pacquiao vs. Ricky Hatton:

Did that fight live to the expectations or what, jesus that fight was too good the young guy vs the old veteran. The fight look good for diaz the first 3 rounds, then by round 5 marquez adjusted and kept going to the body, counter punching etc. Marquez/Pacman III needs to happen, if not vs mayweather. Marquez’s boxing iq is too good, dude was calculating his counter punches very well, even with diaz going in. Both fighters put a great show and it was hella hype too.
That was an awesome fight. If anyone wants to know who in boxing is the most “complete” fighter? It is Juan Manuel Marquez. He did it all. He went toe to toe with the younger fighter, matching over 100 punches per round. And those counters where where of high accuracy and high precision. No one in 135 can fuck with Marquez right now. Marquez is like Shane Mosley in a way that he seems to never look old and doesn’t fight his age.
I was laughing that the post fight interview when Marquez called out Mayweather. Funny, but it will never happen.
Good win for Marquez, he is the kingpin of the lightweight division and right now, “Marquez is unbeatable”.
Damn that fight was awesome. I hope the rest of the year we will see quality fights like this. Do you guys think JMM could be tied or be the #1 P4P fighter after this fight?
yeah it sucks for JMM that pacquiao wants no part of him now. great fight, up until diaz got cut i really saw now way he was losing the fight by KO but wow, #2 p4p indeed.
JMM definitely #2 P4P behind Pacquiao. JMM should fight winner of Pacquiao/Hatton at 140.
James Kirkland. This guy is one one to look out for. He throws bombs from the beginning and is taking his first real test this weekend. I’m on the bandwagon, this guy is exciting to watch.
most people on here only watches boxing on the championship/ pound for pound level, but the fight card this weekend on HBO is stacked with up an comers. I’m planning to see this card live, should be a good night for boxing in San Jose, CA.
