Can’t wait

I will try to catch this fight but after the last debacle I really don’t have great expectations. Still, I suppose whoever wins will be next for Klitschko so will be intresting to see how this pans out.

David Haye v Enzo Maccarinelli - What a knockout. Had that dood doing that Harlem shake.

Oleg Maskaev vs Samuel Peter -

The heavyweight fight wasn’t too bad. Finally, a knockout in a heavyweight fight. None of this"jabbing" stuff in a heavyweight fight.

EDIT: these links will be taken down in a couple of days ( maybe)

Same here.

Man I love Peters, I know this board don’t like him that much, but I got winning any future match ups.

sam peter’s a good fighter and he’s getting better, but to think that he’s got the skill level to be at the top and reign like a lennox is pushing it a bit.

I can’t wait to see David Haye vs. any heavy. His talent level is so far above most of the heavies that he could make a lot of noise in the division. Too bad not much talent in the division as of late.

I hope we get another war out of Pac vs. Marquez, and that it gets a definitive ending rather than another Draw. their first fight was so badass.

much props to Kelly Pavlik for getting the pretender formerly know as middleweight champ(J.Taylor), out of the reign of being king. Pavlik’s a great fighter with a lot of heart!

lol… tyson is DONE. i would not pay to watch that shit (okay i might :wgrin:)

maskaev v peter: good fight.

manny v marquez: i am really looking forward to this one! im gonna go catch up on the vasquez v marquez trilogy while i wait.

taylor beat hopkins twice and was giving winky wright the business until his eye swoll the fuck up, how was he a pretender?

i watched peter/maskaev, and goddamn peter is one sluggish guy, with SERIOUS power. watching him throw this meat hooks was very entertaining. peter/klitschko II should be good.

At least Peter went for the knockout like a heavyweight should. Samuel Peter made Wladimir Klitschko look bad after after Wald’s lackluster (jabbing) performance.

David Haye could breath some life needed in the heavyweight division, but he should try to fight the top guys right away. He should fight a couple fights (top 10 guys) to set himself up for someone like Klitschko or Samuel Peter.

The heavyweight division is missing is a GREAT American fighter. The division isn’t the same without great fighters from the U.S.

Pac vs. Marquez II, get hype

EDIT: is it me or was Samuel Peter throwing rabbit punches like it was legal

look at taylor’s record, he didn’t have any good fights after he became champ.

 1. he beat hop by split decision, did you watch the fight? throwing flurries and doing no damage shouldn’t win you rounds. Granted the second fight B-hop didn’t even try and taylor barely got the 7-5 win, and if you didn’t know that’s a close fight, and shouldn’t by any means make him the legit middleweight champ by any standards. sure he beat the man, but hop had a lot of forces working against him at the time, and still perhaps.

 2. he fights to a draw with winky wright? c’mon man he’s a chump, he couldn’t even beat a guy he was naturally bigger than, critics unanimously agreed that if winky didn’t take the final round off, not to mention on other rounds which no real action went on, which by default made that fight close and boring. also he didn’t put away cory spinks, and if memory serves me correctly he won that fight by split decision as well.

He’s got heart, believe that, but he was by no means definitively the best that the middleweight division had to offer at the time, he was just an hbo poster boy. in my opinion he was way overrated, but that does not take away his heart, he’s got as much heart as the next contender, but he wasn’t fighting up to his potential and pavlik exposed that.

Pavlik won decisively in many of his fights, that guy just brings it, he knocked out miranda for cryin out loud. if anything pavlik was his first real test at middleweight besides hopkins and the hopkins fight was a given because hbo was depending on the new blood.

Hop could’ve took the easy way out and fought other people and continued his reign, but he gave the fans a gift when he fought the supposed #1 contender at the time. He’s was and will always be a real champ, and it seems as if Pavlik’s win brought back legitimacy to the division.

basically, you can’t even count on how many illegitimate champs there are out there, the only one that matters is the ring magazine belt.

he beat hopkins by a unamious decision in the 2nd fight.

did YOU watch the winky wright fight? taylor was ahead until his eye swoll up in like 9th or 10th. winky can cry all he wants about that fight being a draw, but if if you can’t close out a fight against a guy with one good eye then you don’t deserve to win.

the cory spinks fight was a joke, the 3rd judge miscalculated his figures bcuz when buffer read it out the score wasn’t possible. either way spinks ran away the whole fight, not much you taylor could do besides chase him around the ring. hell in the last round spinks was openly jogging away from taylor. when there was actual boxing going on taylor was handling spinks without a problem.

but anyways, you’re on some bullshit with your “hopkins didn’t even try” nonsense. yeah i’m sure hopkins wasn’t trying to get his belts back and avenge his first loss in 11 years with all he could…yeah that sounds likely. taylor beat him, plain and simple. yeah pavlik showed that he’s the big dog in the division now, but that doesn’t take anything away from taylor’s run. he fought everyone who he needed/had to while he was the champ.

Jermain Taylor had some bad match ups after Hopkins. For an orthodox fighter to fight “three” southpaws in a row is unheard of. One turtles ( though Winky did open up against Taylor), one ran, and one was a southpaw volume puncher. Bad match making that is hard to look good against such opposition. But all were smallerguys going up. Taylor should have fought proper natural middleweights. Taylor should have fought Edison Miranda instead of Corry Spinks. I’m a south paw and I hate sparring with other south paw fighters even though they are in a proper stance against me.

thanks for the countdown vids.

no problem Maxx. Boxing fans expectations are really high on this fight.

Thanks a lot stylistics, Lets go Pacuiqao

Rets go Vasquez!

i gotta agree and hopkins is my favorite fighter. though i still adamantly hate the 1st decision he defenitely won the second fight. as for taylor being a pretender that is bullshit. pavlik is just on a higher level right now.

PS: winky does nothing but complain about every fight that he doesnt get a win(vargas/taylor/hopkins), its retarded to get swayed by that habitual whining.

wow man seems like i hurt your feelings by stating what i view to be the truth about taylor. you didn’t address the first fight vs. hop but that’s fine, also if taylor couldn’t finish a guy he should’ve easily (spinks), what does that say about the “superior” fighter.

about winky, you just said taylor won the fight with one eye shut, let me ask you who shut his eye in that fight (thinking that he won enough rounds) cruised to a draw.

ask yourself realistically, did taylor really look impressive as a champ, cause that’s the only time he fought worthy competition.

oh well it’s over with now, he won’t win another meaningful fight for a while, dude’s got heart but he doesn’t have the championship instinct like other fighters who reigned at the top.

i hate to say it but his reign was generated by hbo, because they need someone to fill the departure of jones, hop, and lewis.

Planned to have Saturday off a month ago, can’t fucking wait.

I have to admit I’m kinda worried about Pacquiao losing this one, but I gotta stick with my boy…go go PacMan!!!

I’d be worried if I were you too
bwahaha.
