The unanimous shocked me. I thought it would be a split at worst.
Pavlik had this fight. He pulled ahead in the second half when Taylor was taking breaks here and there. Pavlik won by consistent throughout the fight. I had it 7-5 115-113 Pavlik. Taylor did well in the first half, landing the jab and the cleaner punches, but faded in the second half.
Besides Pavlik and Taylor, there are no stars left at middleweight and super middle expect a bunch of European that are “no names” in the states. So it will be a while till we see Pavlik and Taylor in a big fight again.
Pavlik’s future - Defend his middleweight crown: John Duddy, Felix Trinidad, Andy Lee in the future, how about Roy Jones if Pavlik goes to 168
Taylor’s future - establish himself in 168: Miranda, Kessler, Allen Green, Jeff Lacy
decent card tonight, looking forward to seeing Mijares vs. Montiel in the future.
Next up: Pacquiao vs. Marquez II <--------------------- can’t wait
I want to see more Berto.
nobody watching klitchko/ibragimov right now?
watched it hated it. DUddu fight was coo, what was it duddy vs pav? Pav gonna murder him. Dude better get fitted for his body bag
Ugh what a weak fight
i don’t really understand how that guy was holding a belt. the whole fight he was kinda slouching away from klitschko and he had absolutely no head movement…oh well can’t wait for the pacman and bhop fights later this month.
Have you seen the heavyweight devision? I like Sam Peters …I think thas it…lol
sam peters is garbage
I don’t have HBO ( yet, I buy all the PPVs), but reading the results, it sounded like a terrible fight. From what I read, Klitschko jabbed Ibragimov to death and not enough right hands. It sounded like Klitschko coasted and could ( should) have put Ibragimov away. I also read that Manny Steward was pleading with Wald to put him away.

Picture “number 7” looked like that dood would have got knocked the fuck out
Pavlik would kill Duddy
what you guys think about Roy Jones vs. Jermain Taylor
waits for Pacquiao vs. Marquez II, patiently
QFT - How do you knock someone down 3 times in a fight and lose by decision?
No discussion about tonight’s fight between Marquez and Vasquez?
I didn’t bother to bump up this thread because I knew SRK’ers wouldn’t be interested in this fight…
WHAT A FIGHT! Vasquez showed heart like no other and took that 12th round. Close fight, awesome trilogy. Vasquez is one of the most exciting fighters Pound for pound. He cuts, bleeds, gets knockdown, comes back up and finishes the fight strong. A true champion. The heavyweight division can take notes on this. The lighter weight classes are so much better, in terms of action, then the heavier weight classes.
Vasquez vs. Marquez trilogy is better then the Gatti - Ward trilogy with more skill & action. Up their with Holyfield- Bowe, Barerra - Morales, Ali - Fraizer, Gatti - Ward.
Fight of the year so far.

the best part of that sorry ass heavyweight fight last week
waiting for Pacquiao vs. Marquez II
What are people’s thoughts on Judah vs Mosley? I hear Zab is training with Mayweather Sr at the moment.
Holy shit what a fight! Man I was going crazy last night, that shit was back and forth to the very end.
Judah vs mosley? Hmm, Feels like an even match on paper. Il ove Watching Judah fight though, he always brings it.
Yeah man. 12th round I kept saying to myself, “where the fuck does Vasquez get the energy.” The more you hit him, the more dangerous he gets. I really thought Marquez would take the trilogy, but either way, very enjoyable
Vasquez vs. Marquez trilogy = Boxing at its highest level
Vasquez would get the nod from me because the way he finished the fight and that 12th round. He was hungry, he wanted it more. Without the knockdown, it would still would have been a 10-8 round for Vasquez. I think the referee did Marquez a favor in the 12th by breaking the fight and giving Vasquez the knockdown point. If the ref. didn’t step in, Vasquez would have “stopped” Marquez.
My filipino friends are saying," one Marquez down, one to go" Pacquiao vs. Marquez II, Get Hype!
Absolutely! That was definitely a great fight! Absolutely! The MMA show wasn’t too bad either and their middleweight champ wants to fight a professional boxer. That would be interesting to watch.
Just finished watching David Haye absolutely destroy Enzo Maccarinelli and…DAMN!! Heavyweights beware. This guy can fight. Also Paquiao Marquez next week. Boxing is too good at the moment.
I’m watching the heavyweight championship fight tonight. Oleg Maskaev vs. Samuel Peter
Good win for David Haye. He could be the next UK heavyweight superstar after Lennox Lewis. He called out Wladimir Klitschko, so that would be interesting if it happens.
