the reason why your combo drops is because you are doing too many hits with you jumping machinegun otg. for now it’s better that you don’t use jumping machinegun untill you’re good at doing it as late a possible so you can get less hits when you otg. so just use jumping magnum instead.
i’ve been using haggar’s lariat to start my combos since march so i’m not late at all and for all we know there might be an assist from the newer characters with similar properties.
Man you are 100% right. I just got too salty on my last set of online matches. Right after posting that I went to read S.killians post about scrub behavior and such and I know I have better mentality than that. I am gonna stick with chris, but may also look into magneto. I tend to stay positive with losses for only so long before I turn into a 10 year old, but hopefully I can maintain my actions and just step back and study my loss. Thanks for replying. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I really hope Nemesis and Chris work together. I maybe an RE fan for using them together, but I have got super high hopes that Nemesis is a murder house.
i think deadpool is actually one of chris’s easiest matchups and you don’t need an assist to deal with him. you just need to play defensively, stay grounded except when countering his moves and know what counters what, and chris can easily counter just about everything deadpool does. magnum goes through all of his zoning options. if a deadpool likes to jump horizontal guns, just magnum him on the way down and if you know the magnum combo then that’s over half of his life in long range counter damage. if he superjumps diagonal machinegun, throw out gifts, of grounded horizontal mahineguns then superjump magnum him. all you have to worry about is his simple close range mixups and teleport tricks, something that landmines can help discourage, even if he does hit you he will not kill you in one combo and will probably leave you the meter to kill him in one combo.
Most Deadpool players that know what they’re doing CAN actually kill in one combo since DHC glitch into Dante or Sent follows shortly after. It’s happened to me quite a bit recently. If you superjump he usually teleports in and does a mixup so landmines are pretty key. I find it hard to catch keepaway Deadpool with a magnum but maybe my timing is just off, he’ll always superjump gift more than anything which interrupts a lot.
Just wondering if anyone else has done this either on accident, or combos, but I was playing around with Chris level 3 and found out that you can cancel it with Xfactor while still calling down at least one beam. It may be a bit situational (or completely useless) but doing a slide input activating xfactor will call the beam down where the target was. Just wondering if anyone has done this or found some use to it (I use it like a counter myself). Yes I realize in a combo its better to use the xfactor before it to up the damage.
I’ve done it in training a couple times. if you don’t think you’ll kill with the level 3 then use x-factor while chris says “bring the pain” the last time and while that last shot OTGs you either use the flame thrower if you’re close in the corner or shoot a magnum if you’re far away. If that doesn’t kill, then nothing will.
Yea that was pretty much my thinking. I want to say there is some opportunity in there to keep going with an assist but every time I attempt the hit stun decay ruins everything. Oh well fun to play with I suppose
Hmm don’t know if this was known already but I just found out that Chris can combo a H Boulder Punch after sweep combo vs medium-large characters (aka haggar and dr. doom)
The trick is that you have to do sweep combo on them while they are in mid air and in the corner, such as after flame thrower and use sweep combo (when they are at the peak height), then use H boulder punch when u recover from sweep combo
Its pretty interesting, I found out accidentally just doing new combos.I couldn’t get it to work on sent, dorm, or ryu.
i had my opponent send out his assist in the corner full screen away and i happened to hit them both with a standing magnum into superjump back magnum combo then i continue to continuously superjump back magnum the assist to death while my opponent panicked and sometimes got hit too.
yup! if you tag an assist with the magnum you can constantly jump and air magnum them to death! but becarful though cuz if ur opponent is aware of that he will try to rush you down to stop it.
magnum does CRAZY damage to assist and in ultimate the magnum is super fast now as well so people are gonna have to watch out for Chris soon enough!

Haven’t posted in a bit, been playing wesker, dude is actually easy mode, its disgusting. But I just don’t enjoy playing him, so ill prolly switch him out for chris on my storm/ammy team and see how that works for a bit.
Yea I picked up a bunch of bad habits playing him like always pressing buttons since his normals were so good, so im just looking for someone to replace him now on my ammy team. Prolly gonna stick sentinel and doom in there.
