Yeah same here, I really didn’t like all the bad stuff that happened to Tom, but if it is like what is done in the comics, then I’ll let it slide.

IMHO I prefer if this season was as preachy as the last, since that’s what I liked about it the most. Still I did enjoy Season 2, mostly because the humor is serious, not just mocking shit and leaving it at that like in other animated shows. Granted it does mock stuff but at the same team leaves a glimmer of hope that such things can be rectified and such.

Season 1 had much better stories and more meaning and was more like the comic. Season 2 was funnier since plot wasn’t quite as big of an issue. If they do a Season 3 I hope they combine the best aspects of both seasons.

Man…this episode has too many quotes and references that I’ll refrain from spamming them. Most importantly, it had so much truth in it. “WILL YOU NIGGAS SHUT UP SO I CAN WATCH THIS PIECE OF SHIT MOVIE?!” <— TRUTH INCARNATE.
As far as critiquing the season, I don’t care if S2 lacked the message aspect of S1 eps. To be honest, watching the S1 episodes again feels a little drab due to its slower pace, and I felt that BD needed to go all out eventually to maintain my interest.
The combination of the extreme silliness of comedy that was displayed this season, and the excruciating wait we all had to endure to witness said silliness, it what gave the show a re-boot so to speak. Aaron McGruder constantly discussed in the DVD about how difficult it was to put all this into play, so I can understand why some people miss what was originally presented. But for me, I consider the entire S1 as the pilot, much like the entire 1st season of 24, with both second seasons failing to disappoint.
Lastly, what I think this show is “missing”, per se, is some type of revival of the strip (which would easily talk about current events) and Caeser. So “caese” and desist with your so-called insightful interpretations and just keep it real! I’m waiting for him, too! :lol:
lol either I have an outstanding job (which is true), I understand inflation, or I am a huge fan of the show, but I got S1 for like $30 at Amazon the day it came out, so what if I can get more eps on another show for the same price, or more. Damn y’all cheap. SUPPORT THE TROOPS NIGGA! :mad:

i think the problem some of you guys are having with the show is that you want it to be preachy and current like south park. however you have to take into account that south park episodes are made within a week or 2, whereas the boondocks takes significantly longer to animate and get out. it would be awesome if boondocks could tackle stuff like the rev. wright thing or just the obama vs. hilary issue in general, but you figure by the time those eps came otu the stories would be over, so it’s easier to just have character driven storylines.
this is also the difference between the strip and show as well. mcgruder’s strip towards the end was ridiculously simple art wise so he could keep strip on top of current issues.
Don’t quote me on this, but apparently the S2 DVD is coming out June 10th, which is a Tuesday, the typical new release day for movies and music.

I’m waiting for it in the mail today from Amazon, though lol impatience got me. Supposedly, this DVD is more jam-packed than the S1 set, with a couple of minisodes on top of the two banned eps.
I just hope they don’t show all the wangs uncut that were present last season, but I think I’ll be wrong. Uncut shit in that regard was random in S1.
