I would rather them take forever, than the show look typically American and half-assed like the first season did. I’m hoping that McGruder works with Studio MOI a little more so that the animation stays consistent and that the show continues to look better.
I’m still debating if I want to buy the DVD though. It needs the support I’m just wondering if I really want the entire season. Like any show, it did have its misses.

Why even debate…its definitely worth the buy regardless if it had some misses. Hell from what i’ve been hearing the commentary’s on the two unaired BET episodes give more insight as to what went down without throwing names out there.

Thoughts about the DVD:
I’ll consider this a bootleg review, so excuse random shit.
I was kind of disappointed with the design for the DVD’s cursor, it is very difficult for me to see what the fuck I highlighted. Since when was grey the color designated to be a highlighter? IS THAT WHAT’S HOOD IN DA STREETS?! :mad:
But besides that, I’m happy with the quality. In the review I posted earlier, this is somewhat important:
…because they fixed the part where Riley woke up in his prison clothes instead of his regular clothes when Grandad returned, in case you forgot. They didn’t fix Riley saying “Come back here, Riley!” at the beginning though…:lol:
The commentaries on both banned episodes and Gangstalicious Pt 2 are worth the repeat, except on Stinkmeaner Strikes Back. That episode was just too good to be talking over, and they actually remarked on how disappointed the viewers would be hearing the lackadaisical commentary would be, so bad decision of Sony’s part lmao! I would have had them do commentary of TYFNSnitching, Kung Fu Wolf Bitch, or Shinin’ I guess. BET are some bitch motherfuckers but we knew that. Also, prepared to get used to sarcastic Season 3 plugging on ALL OF THEM. :lol:
I can’t stop setting the play mode at A-B during Thugnificent’s entrance (Booty Butt Cheeks). Shit is unhealthy Aaron, RELEASE DAT SHIT! I mean all the music has been outstanding this season, even with the absence of Thuggin’ Luv. But you ain’t gonna catch me singing “Homies Over Hoes” in public anytime soon, despite its awesome catchiness. No homo.
I like watching the eps on widescreen format again like the S1 set, with its guaranteed clarity, but alas, all the penises are intact. The random thing they didn’t uncensor - guaranteed to be at least one of those per DVD set - was Riley’s flipping off Ruckus for forcing him and Huey to walk to school. Even if this was supposed to be broadcasted on BET, the cussing is OK? Minor gripe, but whatever. One note: Catcher Freeman looks better with the darker brightness, didn’t notice that at first. lol now I sound like a confused Uncle Ruckus…
Finally, the extras are great and not DVD filler, especially “Trouble In Woodcrest?”, depicting the playful rivalry between Cedric Yarbrough and Gary Anthony Williams. I’m not gonna spoil it for those who haven’t seen it, but lol at the end…
All in all worth the paper.
And in case you’re wondering, if you thought the end of “Ballin’!” was only going to be funny censored…

Other than the quality of home alone, this disappointed me the most. It just loses so much impact hearing Tom say shit over and over.
