Blue blazes, he's AWESOME! The Nova Thread!

OH NOES WHATEVER ARE WE TO DO??? HE CHANGED HIS SIG TEAM GAIZZZ

Ahh. I’m not expecting it to single-handedly shut down projectile barrages. Instead, I’m hoping to use it in conjunction with Frank’s shopping carts and either manage a stalemate or outshoot my opponent that way. Who knows if that will actually work out (and I suspect trying to win fireball wars with Frank will only work against a very small number of foes), but I’m hoping the option will be there when it’s needed.

He’s on the list.

Really? Why do you think so? I’d honestly love to make a pairing of both of them but I’ve always been unsure of how they’d compliment eachother

Actually played Nova and the Nova Blast and Nova Ball ( Sorry dont know the names ) both drain Red Life.

The normal Gravemtric Pulse ( A and B ) Do not

I agree, I was running Nova Specner all through Comic-con. If you do his normal ground string to Launch then M, H, Centurion Strike ( Wall Bounced ), then Wiff S. You can call Spencers Slanted Wire for a Grab Reset.

Also, vice versa, Nova Grametric Pulse Assist is great for bouncing opponents off of it.

You can wall bounce the opponent then knock them into the Pulse for a ton of different mix ups

Did they change the Infernova hyper or is it optional?

i actually think it may have been two seprate builds now

lol

Must have been two different builds seeing as Gravametric pulse also drains red life…

Gravimetric pulse A does use up red life. this guy only had a very small amount, but its pretty obvious that it used up the health. I dont really know what to believe anymore. too many people saying different things and without video proof =/

Well… I guess we’ll just have to wait like we did for Rorkannu… for the next iteration. That might not happen…

The moves that we Know drain Red Life with Video Evidence are … All versions of Gravimetric Pulse… and Hyper Gravimetric Beam… that is all… if the Nova Inferno does drain red life we have yet to see it in video.

That is Gravimetric Pulse C

I’d say to save yourself the headache by either waiting until the game drops, or until another reliable source brings up his correct information.

Unrelated to the gravimetric pulse though, I will say this as far as his hypers go now to clear some things up: Only one burns red life currently, i.e. the beam super. The skrull supernova super doesn’t. That can be confirmed in not only the Xuses video, but also in Seth Killian’s demonstration of Nova. Regardless of what Seth said his own demonstration proved him incorrect when he did the super for a second time after he had taken some damage.

At around 40 minutes in Seth gets hit when Nova tags in, and does the hyper. If you look closely after the hyper ends the red life is still there. Maybe this will change on release, but as it is now, only the beam hyper has the red life boosted damage.

Edit- Probably placing some of this info on the front page will help to eliminate recurring questions.

We’ll get confirmation by the time Frank and RR get announced. Capcom said a mix of the game footage of Nova and PW were made alittle while ago. Builds change all the time.

I guess by the time the last 2 characters get reveiled, the footage hopefully will be the final build.

New walk through for Nova is up on eventhubs… Seth Kill did it at IGN today. Gonna watch and post up.

nothing new there

aside seth did not finish one combo lol

Yea its the same ol same ol… I think the only moves he has that take red life are the 4 we know about. Gravimetric pulse L M and H and Gravimetric Blaster.

do the pulses ALWAYS take red, or is it optional? (I know per blaster)
