To be fair, GL is one of the two DC heroes I like, along with Batman. It’s just that Marvel is so much better than DC in almost every way. (How’s THAT for starting a war? :razzy:)

Guy is fucking awesome…use to be an asshole, but they downplay that now. Probably the best GL.
John’s pretty stern and boyscott like…no personality, unless he’s with someone.
Kyle is, if not the first real down to earth GL to have thoughts and emotions…earlier stuff was good, but he was really whiney. Gotten better though.
So unless one GL is partnered with another GL…they seem blah. Except Guy. 
Anyway, we’re supposed to be talking about Nova. Query: Does he have any weaknesses that have been seen so far? He has a strong air game, can approach easily, has lots of tools, does big damage… the only negative I know of is his maybe relatively low health.
They said health is average at best. I think it’s attributes will be identical to Skrull: 1million health and 72,000 damage probably
One of our posters a few pages back was able to do some analysis work and figured out Nova has exactly 900k health
Someone else at NYCC today said that his dash “travels fast but has slow start up” . I really hope his c.L is 6 frame start up at most~
He has that iron man decelerating type of dash. His health isn’t too big of a concern, He is just a solid battery and good anchor. I used almost no meter all weekend, and I easily took out most teams. His normals don’t have too much range (not iron fist short lol), but his standing mp is decent

How do you think he fares against Vergil/Strider/New Doom/etc?
I was wavedashing with him, so I didn’t find it too annoying. I play Chris, so you might wan’t a second opinion on the ground dash lol. The air dash however was just as advertised, like Iron Man, but with Magneto speed, sorta.
As far as the new characters is concerned, people were a bit too giddy on Vergil. He was easiest to play, so alot of folks were showing off with him, but I think Nova wont have a problem with him. New Doom is just like old doom in that he still needs help getting in. I feel like gravimetric pulse does wonders for keeping people off of you. I played a few ghost riders, and halted their movement quite a bit. Didn’t really see too much strider, but we hit harder than me, so yea lol. Phoenix, however, is a problem. I swear…“looking for evidence” being an actual attack that hits is so annoying. I got hit with that like 4 times. I spent most of my time doing wall bounce combos into nova force super, and most people died. I killed hulk in like 2 combos, i have some footage of me messing around with everything that I can put up soon
I ran Chris/Nova/Doom(Dante) most of the weekend, so I did alot of sitting in the corner lol
