Yeah, exactly shield with a hitbox
Viktorkain has done significant testing with the Gravimetric Pulse assist and related his findings a page or two back. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the following points are true?
-
Deploys at ground level but is tall enough to stuff some jump-ins. The on-point, on-ground, unbuffed Gravimetric Pulse shield is the version he fires by default as an assist. Accounts vary on whether it will spend Red Health as an assist if said health is available. EDIT: Seth Killian says it does not.

Counts as a physical hitbox akin to Aegis Reflector in SF3 Third Strike. If an enemy makes bodily contact with it they will be damaged in many cases.

Apparently negates or reflects (unsure which) projectiles up to Low Class Durability 5? Viktorkain cites this as having withstood five hits of a projectile. Not immediately clear how Beams interact with it.
Thus, it appears to serve as both a physical and projectile shield. This is very interesting indeed, and may well complete my team.
Some of it’s at 36 minutes. Then he goes back to Wright, then Nova again around 45, as you said.
http://www.twitch.tv/capcomunity/b/297556644 @2mins30seconds into the video you can see the bounce properties of Gravimetric Pulse Shield … Small version im looking for the larger one now.
I’d swear somebody said they saw it get deployed in the air (as in during a jump) and left up for an annoying approach angle block too.
I think the pulse looks like an amazing assist. Kinda like a cross between MODOK’s barrier and Dormammu’s fire carpet.
No,his Skrull like hyper does not use red life.Watch his reveal vid and any other vid he uses it.
Yea thats an older vid i posted it up here earlier ill dig it back up.
Edited to add: Found it @5:13 on this vid. http://www.twitch.tv/capcomunity/b/297396243
Double Edit. matter of fact just watch that whole first fight he uses the shield quite a bit. Make me think shield and Javelin could be very annoying.
Neat, you found some interesting extra stuff in there. Seth confirms that the assists do not consume red health, for example. This makes me very happy, because I planned to use Nova in slot 2 to help Frank West out in various ways.
Kinda weird you don’t have an option to not use red health with Nova… but ehh I guess we’ll get used to it.
Alright so Im not sure if this is known information, but I have figured out that Nova has 900 health and have very crappy images to back up my claim.

Full health nova

Nova trades with Ryu’s fireball in the beginning of this match. Fireball does 100 damage.

I traced the damage using both pictures as a separate layer, and then multiplied that layer until I could get to the end of his health by connecting the individual boxes. 9 x 100 = 900, obviously. Not the best tracing, but I believe it gets the point across.[/details]
Yeah, I’m going to have to get used to those too.
Maybe its best use is as a GTFO assist.
That’s cool, thanks bro. Not bad at all.
I figured it was around 850k and 900k thanks for the Bruce Wayne work.
Or just using it in general during zoning or when the opponent is cornered.
Good enough for me! He has 900K or very close to it (such that arguing it in any detail is best left for when we have the real game and/or the guide). Thank you!
Yeah, it does sound and look really versatile overall, thinking about it. Do we know how much punishment it can take, or should we just wait for the strategy guide to give us durability?
EDIT: Looks like RRD answered me when I was posting, heheh.
I tend to do that sometimes. I’ve covered console wars, you know.
Durability is going to be a big factor but it can take 5 hits physical or projectile. We have no way of knowing durability until the guide comes out. I think getting someone in the corner then putting one in the air right at about their jump height could be terrifying with the right assists.
Ooh, yeah. What about on incoming characters?
