Strange right now looks godly for that teleport really. He looks like he can’t do much unless he sets up his powerups. Hawk just looks annoying. So in other words, they look good lol.

Nova (and for that, many feel PW doesn’t look good either) have gotten alot of negative shit in a mere 3 days. Really guys? We’re exactly 1 month away from release, so we’ll see.

Of course its too early to tell, but all teh newbies look decent at worst.

I just think Nova is one of those characters that will benefit from some real lab time. He’s got a very linear move-set, but alot of different ways to apply that moveset. I see big damage and mixups with and without some kind of assist backup.

Linear characters usually get crapped on in most games though. Or at least, on paper. But considering the red life factor, that might scare people into using him. It’s very smart managing of Nova’s abilties actually. That itself deserves alot of lab time to see what we can do with Nova.

Yea most linear characters do get pretty blown up but most of them dont have as many options as nova… Just realized youre a buddy from the thor thread so I will say this seeing as it applys. Thor/Nova will keep anyone in their right mind out of the air…

Oh no I definitely agree with you He is taking Thors Place as my new Main… his options seem … very nice. Jump air Gravimetric Pulse shield… Land Energy Javelin while calling lockdown assist… Human rocket punch is now safe and they cant jump out of it… in theory anyways.

Nova on point is a waste. Think about it. You’re not getting the most out of him and on top of that doing the opponent a favor by using your own red life.

Nova being anchor allows you to play with nothing to lose as well as giving you the freedom to pop X-Factor with one of your other two characters.

Bank on it, Nova gonna be better in the anchor position than anywhere else on a team.

Throwing out there randomly is the worst thing you can do. You don’t want to sacrifice a ton of health to power up a super unless you have to. The threat of DHC’ing into that could act as a deterrent to the opponent attacking him though.

Also, AFAIK the slide is gone. It’s the overhead now.

Nova is a point character. If you don’t want him to be, I’d have him as second, he will be a ‘meh’ anchor though. I really think him and ghost rider are going to go well. Ghost Riders flame pillar assist causes tons of hit stun, which allows for mix up silliness. It can also OTG, not that Nova needs it. As far as anchors go, Doom is obviously going to be an AMAZING anchor (I usually anchor with him anyway).

I’d say Wesker, Strange, possibly Vergil. Got to wait and see what Frank/RR do too. Though, I will probably be doing Nova/Hulk/Ghost Rider cause I like playing hard mode.

I see the red life thing as an option, not something where you try to intentionally take damage. Could make his beam a very scary punish though.

There might be a way of intentionally damaging Nova, probably with Joe’s bomb. Could make for the most awesome combo ever.

I disagree, for the same reason you wouldn’t want wolverine in vanilla as anchor. They will plow through so many characters before going down.

I don’t want Nova as assist. Cause Hawkeye is doing that for me. Huh…I’ll try a team of Nova/Hawk/whoever. Right now, my mind is set on Thor/Hawk/Nova to test things out.

Been thinking about Doom as anchor myself. Nova/???/Doom was in my mind at first. Not interested in Ghost Rider, but I’m thinking about Taskmaster or Spencer.
Guess I should wait for Frank West and Rocky first.

If Doom turns out tops (which it keeps sounding like), then everyone will be running him. Not even touch him.

But now that I keep thinking about, Nova and Iron Man sound pretty good too…
