Yep. Please believe that if we actually had a CRT setup at a tournament and I could convince my opponents to play on that shit… Man. Shit would get wrecked. Fucking hate HDTVs. Changes my spacing, half of them lag… There was one notably large TV near the GG/BB side of things that was just awful. Like I knew that something was coming, and still could not block the overhead or tech the throw. Was really glad to not lose that match because it was loser’s bracket.

As some one who practices only on a crt, I completely agree. I saw so many people miss combos they never miss. Oh well, the projector was worth the lag… maybe…

I can see some of the HDTVs lagging, it’s in their nature to have laggy response with all the post processing and other HD features they are packed with to clean up the picture. I was mostly concerned with the two screens in the front. I’ve never had a complaint about them and they are the exact same spec as the 09 evo screens.
I can see how moving form CRT to LCD could mess up your spacing but SFIV and T6 were designed for 16:9 displays.
I didn’t even think about this, but on the front tvs what was the display set at? 720 or 1080?
I’ve heard that 1080 does have a bit of lag in it
pretty sure I saw ray drop the rez on the ps3 to 720p as it had a weird flicker. not sure about the 360 I don’t even know how to turn one of those on.

Tanaka had a theory that streaming the video input is might be what was causing lag.
