@Million-X would probably have been all over the procedural stuff they were gonna do here.
So, the four new playable monarchs of Dead Lands all come directly from Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night! These new characters include Shardbinder Miriam and three unlockable characters — demon hunter Zangetsu, summoner Gebel and alchemist Alfred. This challenged us to add these action-oriented characters and led to a big new feature for Kingdom. Now players will not only be able to change their mounts as they explore and expand their Kingdom, but they’ll also be able to unlock and switch between these four different characters, each with a powerful and unique trait that can be used when defending against and eventually overthrowing the Greed.
To set the right mood, the cover illustration for Kingdom Two Crowns: Dead Lands, with Miriam riding the Gamigin surrounded by lurking Greed, is drawn by ArtPlay’s Mana Ikeda, who created the original package illustration for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
the cover illustration can be downloaded in different resolutions that can be used as wallpaper for PC or mobile
Alright, alright.
Lets fucking go!
No upgrades or cutscenes. It’s pretty much like a Ritcher run in SOTN.
Zangetsu is great. He really makes the game feel completely different.
According to the video, there’s a special boss unique for him. Let me know if you fight it
Might be time for me to pull the trigger on this for Switch
I can deffinitly say if you like Symphony of the Night then you’ll like this.
I have it on PS4 but I heard a lot of bad things about the switch port although, I’ve heard a lot of those things have been fixed.
TBH I’ve been jonesing for a metroidvania that doesn’t make me want to throw my handheld lol. Dead Cells sounds good in theory but if I want to chill, it doesn’t sound like the right choice
Stick with PS4 for the better experience

Boss Revenge Mode - Take control of one of four in-game bosses and use them to battle the heroes of Bloodstained!
Chroma Wheel - The salon is back in business with more options than ever for character customization, including hair, clothing, and skin color. Switch up your look with a true color selector and eliminating pre-set options previously available.
Q3 2020
VS Mode (Local/Online) - A tense survival mode where players compete by indirectly attacking each another.
Chaos Mode (Local/Online) - A specialized boss rush for 1 or 2 players. The mode includes randomized drops and special sub goals that will grant more equipment when completed. Collect the best, drop the rest as you build power to defeat all the bosses!
Classic Mode - It’s Bloodstained 80s-style as Miriam faces off against a series of sub-bosses laid out across five harrowing stages and three difficulty levels.
Q4 2020
Playable Character - Bloodstained’s 3rd playable character after Miriam and Zangetsu. (It’s not Dominique)

I’m excited about all these new modes they’re bringing out especially classic mode, and I’m curious as to who the next playable character will be. I imagine it’s probably going to be Gebel or Arthur.
Been grinding on this game and forgot how addictive it is. I’m running a gunslinger build this time around which is tough to get up and running, but once you get the Cowboy Hat and the third gun, you’re in business.
I like how you can make builds in this game. Like you could even do a poisoner build if you wanted to.
Aside from the difficulty (which is a decent sized point for me) my only real complaint with Symphony is that you can’t really do builds like you can here and most other rpgs. It’s a great addition here.
You can, it’s just not as easy, and with the removal of the money glitch, that just complicates it. I did a necromancer run where my main weapons were monster vials and that was fun, and then a other one where I used mostly magic. Magic is pretty OP in sotn.
Its far too tedius to be considered a feature imo. Like it’s clearly not intended unlike Bloodstained.
Yeah I agree, but I think because Alucard’s abilities are more varied than, say, Soma, you have more leeway in terms of that sort of thing.
But Bloodstained is definitely the best of all worlds in that respect and it makes the game very replayable because of it. I’m glad they decided to go that route.
I think once I get a few more runs under my belt Bloodstained will probably retire Symphony for me as my go to “Metroidvania” for when I want to chill, which is the role Symphony plays.
It woulda been Hollow Knight because I adore it but that games fucking merciless which I love about it, but isn’t very conducive to relaxed exploration and wandering around.
