This pleb not using the luck code to have low stats, but high luck.
OoE was a Castlevania that had all the RPG mechanics and was a difficult game. The balance has been hit before.
OoE always limited your strwnght because you always used magic to attack.
What they should do is go the meteoid route. Special Items allow you to explore new area’s. Item power ups are fixed in power and allow you to do more damage but not more than a srt value.
Real magic powers always break a game unless you have hard cool downs or fixed magic levels.
None that shit had anything to do with Sotn being easy. Like they said nothing was wrong with the rpg elements at all, it was just the equipment and weapons/armor that were fucked up. That is such an easy fix it isn’t even an issue. I know what would help exploration stay dangerous especially when back tracking is making certain enemies deal damage based on percentage instead of some other values.
People need to go on Nigarashi’s twatter and tell him we want more characters instead of dumb shit like retro levels or whatever.
It’s shit like boss rush mode or whatever that is keeping this thing around it’s current level of funding.
If you guys watch the “dev’s play” video, the developer from Double Fine says that “SOTN is my favorite game” then she proceeds to get fkn rekt in the beginning areas. It’s her favorite game.
IGA plays a few times and he gets fkn rekt too, but he was getting a lot better as he played.
It would have to be like your first time ever playing that game to get your ass handed to you in the beginning lol.

Yeah, I was shocked watching the video.
“This is my favorite game!” —> proceeds to die constantly.
I’d have loaded the game up as Richter and ran/Shoryuken’d throughout the entire castle to get the most out of the let’s play. 1-2 Hydro Storms > any boss. B)

I haven’t played a Castlevania game, but the art is sexy as hell. This is mad crazy how fast this kickstarter generated money. This can’t soley just be fans like us, there has to be industry people with that real guap supporting this too.
Also, how did this guy end up leaving Konami; was he fired like Kojima?
kickstarter is closing in to 2 mil now. yee haw !

He left the company because they kept assigning him mobile phone games and he didn’t want to make those.
One of the achievements to unlock those bonus things (like seeing more stretch goals) includes the amount of backers. The next tier is 50k backers, while there are currently 25k. Don’t think we’re reaching that, which means we won’t get to see whatever the bonus stretch goal is before the end of the kickstarter.
Wood Carving Partita and Rainbow Cemetery. also the clock tower song was good. takes a while but gets really good towards the end.

That’s not how that works.
All the things in those categories count to tho bonus achievements.
So when more vines or fan art or YouTube subs happen it helps those unlock goals.
Something I wonder about Kickstarter campaigns for niche interests is how many units actually are sold after release? I would assume that most of the people who want this game are going to back the ks.

They don’t need to get rid of the RPG mechanics, they just need to pay better attention to them.
This.
Either scale the difficulty better or, and this is probably the better option, make the bosses “level up” alongside the player. With the latter, it’s easier to make the game less linear.

He left on his own because he wasn’t being allowed to work on Castlevania games.
As for the money? I wouldn’t be surprised if @MarkMan just up and sold his stick collection to fund this.

Magic made symphony of the night so easy.
At level 5 one soul steal killed the first bosses. All the broken shit in sotn was magic based, magic made that game easier. Just like magic made circle of the moon challenging to laughably easy. Even with the non magic items, it was still relatively easy if you used the swords that where in plain sight.
You where given enough to never be in any real danger. You didn’t even need the shield combo, sword of dawn or soul steal broke that game once you had +50 mp. Aria or sorrow, dawn of sorrow, mad easy if you used magic or leveled up to abuse magic.
Set values for damage and or equip items for offense does away with the need for leveling up in a “open game”
Now I have to download potrait or ruin and circle of the moon for pc.
IGA knows what he’s doing. This thing got funded and well beyond in less than a day. Konami has no idea what they are doing anymore, and this is clear evidence of that. Good luck in the mobile space regurgitating games from 20 years ago, Konami.
