BLOODSTAINED: RITUAL OF THE NIGHT aka the Spiritual successor of Symphony of the Night

They did, yet the salty bastards released another firmware update to kill the latest hack…

I don’t think that’s salt so much as the usual protection of their stuff lol

IIRC there’s still a few Japanese games that are coming out on it, nothing we’d get here though.

You have to craft it. IIRC, you need to make a thunder ring first.

There alot of shit that just don’t drop at all, and you have to Craft, or Deconstruct a item to get that item.

To make a flame ring all you need is a ring and a ruby.

I know they did, but that game (and Bloodstained for that matter) would have been perfect on Vita.

Good stuff RE the Flame Ring. I ended up getting a bunch of rubies but using them to enhance some shards so I’ll have to hunt for a few more. I actually dig the crafting aspects of this game, normally that stuff doesn’t grab me as much, but it’s kind of fun here.

Speaking of crafting, one thing I really dig about Curse of Darkness was the Steal system where you had to steal elements from enemies and even bosses. That was actually a pretty brilliant idea because not only did you have to figure out which enemies had what, but you had to figure out what point you could steal it from them. Too bad that game was so damn boring.

Except very early on the developers for Bloodstained had to abandoned the Vita version and their reasons were discussed on the KS page. They instead made the game for the switch.

I know. After playing it and seeing what they did with it, there’s no way it would have worked graphically on Vita without being drastically downgraded. I play it via remote play and it’s great. But this kind of game is great for a portable system.

I’m looking forward to unlocking the 2nd boss rush path as the boss fights in this game are really good.

I’m at just under 75% of the map completed and I feel like I’ve seen so much already that it’s crazy to think there’s more. Just got the Invert shard last night and that is SUCH a cool alternative to flying. I wonder if there will be any invert runs done or if that’s even possible.

Anyone got any tips for the Carpenter fight? I keep getting murked because I can’t kill the demons fast enough and there ends up being so much going on in such a small space, I can’t keep track of everything.

:joy: You know, it’s funny, I thought about that after I posted this. You’ve solidified it for me though lol! Thanks!

So i got quite a bit further I the game last night but had to look up cutting the red moon in the Gebel fight with the Zangetsuto No way would I have figured that out on my own. Also the 8 Bit Nightmare too was really cool. It’s nice that IGA is putting stuff like that in the game.

That reminds me, I should get the rest of my Physical rewards tomorrow

First, a quick update on reward fulfillment. Alchemist’s Treasure and hardcover art book rewards ($100-175 tiers) have all been shipped; if you haven’t received a shipping notification from us and you backed at one of those tiers, send us an email. $250 and $300 Collector’s Box rewards are being shipped now; US-bound shipments of those tiers will all be out as of today, and international shipments are currently in progress.

On the development side, playable Zangetsu is taking shape; we are currently checking for bugs. We are very close to delivering it to everyone, so please wait patiently until then.

Nintendo Switch Graphics and Performance Update

The Nintendo Switch Improvement update is live! We know it took a while to get this update to you and we are very appreciative of your patience.

There are four areas of improvement in version 1.03: Input Lag, Visual Quality, Crashes and Load Times.

First off, input lag has been eliminated throughout the game. You will find the controls more responsive, making the game easier to navigate and enemies easier to fight. There are still a few areas that need optimizing that will be included in update 1.04.

Visual quality has been improved so things look more clear and have more detail. Some examples below:

Overall stability has been improved throughout the game. We have addressed several specific situations that have been causing crashes, most notably when reading books from a bookcase.

Loading times have been reduced significantly, by up to 70% but there are still areas we’d like to improve. We will keep working to improve this on a room-by-room basis.

Even more improvements are coming in update 1.04, so keep an eye on the news for that announcement!

Zangetsu / Xbox 1.04

Unfortunately, we don’t have specific dates yet for Zangetsu or Xbox update 1.04 (including the IGA’s Back Pack DLC) yet. As soon as we have that info we will share it with everyone.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to work on the game across all platforms and work to add more modes and backer goals
