Nerf is some bs for a single player game. I’m extremely disappointed.

If they don’t turn back on this, I am gonna have to download the latest patch, and disable autoupdate for this game.
Didn’t know you could disable updates for individual games. Gonna do that now.
Pretty silly that they’re gonna nerf some shards because of dumb ass nerds crying about how they got a godlike shard and the game split in hard. It was mentioned here earlier, Igavanias aren’t really known for their difficulty.
Rhava Velar and welcome party are part of my regular loadout. This patch will never be downloaded.
They’re part of mine too but only because I haven’t gone around to having fun with messing around with other weapons.
I was playing with Rank 9 Shuriken, that shi is hilariously damaging. There are a bunch of other random sleeper shards too.
As for weapons, I hate weapons that have a lot of recovery frames on their strikes. if whips flailed a bit faster, i’d probably mess with them too. Guns feel cool, but they don’t feel fun to use. Need a more bang bang feeling to them. Nerfing my ability to fly around the whole castle as a murderball won’t randomly make the other weapons fun to use though.

Now? NOW? They have been doing this to single player games for years. Shit the Knight Enchanter class was nerfed into the ground in Dragon Age Inquisition like 4 years ago.

Trophy hunted hard yesterday and am at 91% completion. I just need the 100% item completion trophy and I’ll have the Plat.
I’m at like 92.XX% right now, have gotten all the random recipes made. I have a few more quests for Abigail at the beginning, then I’ll be at a 100% quests completed too. I have like 400+ damage with the #Juan greatswArd which is pretty hilarious, literally everything in the castle gets 1-tapped. Optimizer shard is ridiculous by the way, once you get a bit of +attack speed even greatswArds swing like regular swArds but they have a way better hitbox and do a ton more damage.
It is silly that they’re nerfing things in the game considering there is no multiplayer or trading of any kind. Not sure why they want to balance it like it’s Diablo/Path of Exile or some shiieet. SOTN and Metroidvanias are known to be games where you can become broken as hell, and to me, that’s part of the appeal of these types of games+Diablo clones.

That’s a bummer to hear. One of the things about Metroidvanias has always been how you can pick your difficulty by your loadout. If you want an easier run, you can pick more OP gear and vice versa; made SotN a lot more fun having the choice. I hope they won’t nerf stuff to the ground, I get that you have to listen to your audience somewhat, but listening to them too much turns everything into MK9 Kano.

[Settings] > [System] > [Automatic Downloads] > Tick the check box next to [Application Update Files].
