BLOODSTAINED: RITUAL OF THE NIGHT aka the Spiritual successor of Symphony of the Night

Only person you’ll ever get to play SamSho with is d3v.

And me!

Pertho I feel you tho. I pre-ordered SamSho already and have a bunch of games I got for my birthday that I’m still working on (DMc5 for one) so I’m like, I want this bad, but feel like I need to wait.

Anyone know if that patch that fixes the save glitch dropped yet or is that coming this week?

Go for Bloodstained. Support the little guys!

Yeah that was already fixed. It was really only an issue for backers and early copies as far as I could tell

Already been fixed. And it was with only with one version of the game.

Librarian fight

The other day I beat the Librarian and found out during it that you can aim/use Dimensional Shift during his time freeze attack, so you can ready it up and as soon as time unfreezes, teleport to avoid the attack. Shit made me feel like a damn genius lol

Sigh…Playing the switch version and I’ve had the game crash twice on me. Once when trying to talk to npc, and once when trying to read a book.

The switch version is a blurry mess even in handheld mode, don’t even want to see what it looks like docked lol.

I wonder if the switch is just underpowered for the game or if the optimization of it needs work.

They did say that they are releasing a bunch of small patches over the next few days to fix issues.

Yeah I saw that. Hopefully they’re able to fix it and it doesn’t end up being like PS3 Bayonetta pre-patch(which they actually did a good job of fixing tho)

Apart from a couple performance issues, game looks fine to me and I’m really enjoying it.

reviews slowly coming. So far they all sound pretty positive which is great if it helps more people buy this game

IGN gave it a 8.8

Gameinformer 8.5

They want to go incrementally as real life gamers tend to find bugs better than testers do, and they get that real world data. What the bugs are and such. They even fix the one huge flaw with the 1.2 Ps4 patch that afterwards you should remake your save (they fixed that issue).

I missed this in one of the KS updates

P.S. – Everyone is absolutely prohibited from using the following words as names for their save files. Using the following words may result in crystallization of the skin, an uncontrollable desire to battle evil, and an urge to strike bizarre poses:
BIGHEAD
NIGHTMARE (!warning-spoilers!)
I’ve also been informed that prominent YouTubers from the Credit Clans may be in possession of other prohibited words…

^OMG YESSSSSS, thank you for that NIGHTMARE code! I really dislike when long games like these force you into multiple playthroughs in order to unlock things, especially difficulty modes (a particular pet peeve of mine). Ideally I’d like to go through a game once while the novelty is still there, subsequent playthroughs are okay given there’s a fair amount of content that’s actually new; but I digress, anybody else just decide to start playing this game on NIGHTMARE? Thought it’d be best to do so knowing that IGAvanias tend to be pretty easy.
