Yeah, beat them the other day. Fortunately wasn’t too hard. Definitely pick up the flying edge found in the area. It’s easily been the most useful weapon for me so far.
Found a pretty awesome secret area. I think I’m still somewhat early to mid in the game. I’m at level 26 to give you an idea about how far.

It’s a room with a portrait of Igarashi. In that room right next to the portrait is a glowing bookshelf. When you examine the bookshelf it transports you to an 8-bit Castlevania area. Miriam doesn’t change into an 8-bit version and you keep all of your abilities. I wasn’t able to go too far because the enemies killed me. I’m at level 26 and the enemies took off about 90-100 points of health per attack.

Inferno Cave can eat a bag of dicks. This area is a sensory nightmare.
I completed the secret area at level 37. It’s definitely meant to be an endgame area. The boss was a pain in the ass.
Anyone else have an issue where certain weapons “auto” attack when you jump? Mainly with swords. Not sure if its time for a new controller or if that is a “feature”
Haven’t had that problem myself. Is it with any particular swords?
On that note, what weapons are you guys using? Been sticking with regular swords myself so far.

So far the flamberge and the fire whip are my go to.

I saw a streamer discover a sick GS combo where you backdash cancel and then jump cancel the backdash and do air attack, then repeat when you land. It’s pretty fuckin strong

Finished the game on normal late last night (97ish % map coverage)- very happy with it. I feel Iga lived up to his goal of creating the ultimate Igavania- stayed fun from start to finish and avoided tedium. The drop rate coupled with lots of luck boosting equipment has even made farming for souls (…er, shards) and rare items/materials even made farming for way less of a nuisance than it has been in any of his other games. Plenty of fast travel spots/items/speed boosting gear to make traversing the huge castle smooth, a large variety of FG style special weapon attacks (always loved those in SotN), tons of stuff to do, lots of viable playstyles, great art direction, music, and lots of secrets. It even replaces the normally boring flight power into something more fun that simultaneously functions as a great SotN reference. Looking forward to getting 100%, higher difficulties, and the huge amount of upcoming content. I did not expect to be this satisfied with the final product after all the development problems and delays the game has had. It is true that the game wasn’t particularly difficult (definitely not on par with OoE), but it didn’t feel stupid simple either, and I’m trusting that higher difficulties will address that.

Played it for 5 hours last night. I love that technique mastery lets you use those special command attacks on any weapon in the same class. Went to bed at 5am LOL

So you ended up getting the game, nice!
I still don’t understand why I bought this game or why I’m having so much fun playing it, but I am.
Also, if you find shovel Knight, you can farm it for armor that does something pretty cool if you wear it lol

Still, there nothing but facts there
I finished the game. Got 99.60% map completion. I’m going to grind for drops before starting a new game. There’s a couple of items I want to create and yellow shards I want to turn into skill shards before continuing.
