Over 900,000$ which is 25% faster than mighty no9 which took over 2 days to make 900k @orochizoolander

Remember when?

This kickstarter is gonna break some records , it’s so obvious.

here you go @crotchpuncha

They going to have to store all the money raised for this here:

Maybe Scrooge Mc Duck is funding this too?

1,000,000 reached.

he can tell inafune to fuckoff now , lol

Concept art looks too.much like the nds games give the game.darker look please. Definitely going to donate to this regardless

was hype until i saw the playable character designs. i hope they go in a darker direction like SotN.

Pledged $60. SotN is one of my all time favorite games ever and still play it to this day. This game looks like it’s going to just as awesome.

I can’t believe no company wanted to back this game. I know Konmi is going to hell but are they really that stupid? And as for the other companies, they could have scoop up a cash cow
smh, guess these guys don’t want to make money.

I have to ask though. Why does it cost $150,000 for cheat codes? Honestly that doesn’t seem right to me. I love that this is being made. I just worry anytime a kickstarter like this comes up and it has similar weird strech goals.

I blame not having Ayami Kojima onboard as the reason for this.

I mean, whoever is doing the design is trying to go for that feel, but it’s not quite right.

@toddler316 Told you =P

Annnnnnd this before any other snarky smartass gets to post it:

Cheat codes as a goal is truly retarded. It’s not like devs have console commands anyways and only have to write a couple of lines to make them usable in the game

It doesn’t. Stretch goals don’t cost what they have listed just because, they’re just extra bonuses if they have that much cash. You can’t directly associate them because they’re not getting 150k to add codes, they’re getting 150k to make the game and allocate those resources where ever they see fit. As a bonus and thank you to fans they’re deciding to include some fun extras on the side.

Now, if you start talking about console ports, that’s a different matter. True, it still probably doesn’t cost that much to make a ported version, but it definitely is a far more significant cost, and that’s why ports tend to be stretch goals that are much further down the line than others

Best tweet ever! Nice to see Tak can poke fun at himself:

Yeah as far as a vita/ds version they said "they could not confirm or deny it being a dungeon unlock stretch goal"
The dungeon unlocks for the kick starter are the social media stuff, it’s not explained all that well or how/when its calculated because a ton of that stuff was met today and it has not been updated.

Someone on my FB feed posted about this with the classic “WHAT IS A MAN?” from SoTN.

Some smart-ass replied with “A MISERABLE PILE OF SEQUELS”.

That said, I do hope this does well enough to justify sequels being made.

In fairness, the concept art for this actually does look like concept art and not something that might actually be gameplay (like that for M#9).

There’s just something about it that makes it look like something someone drew, and not something actually rendered in game.

This.

Stretch goals are just incentive to reach a certain amount.

That said, I do wish that more people would do what Lab Zero did and actually break down their costs, including how much they would actually have to spend and/or pay for certain features.

That stretch goal should have been a third playable character. Even Sotn had three playable characters. Shit make it 4 like Harmony of Despair. Hell tell him to get a hold of Kimitami and have someone from Dragon’s Crown as a cameo playable character.

they really need to add some new stretch goals now

Cheat codes are a cool mil.
I think it has more to generate hype/give people something to look forward to, than to actually suggests it costs a million dollars to license the Konami code.
Hopefully, it would be “fun” cheats like disco mode, moon gravity, all enemies explode sort of deal (which would require time and energy to implement) than just plain old “unlimited health/ammo” etc.

Either way they are going need some new stretch goals.
