Checked other forums, and others are experiencing the same thing. They donāt know either, but theyāre suspecting itās a glitch, considering the other problems in the update as mentioned by Aries. They completed boss revenge and didnāt get anything, either.
Man i fucking hate Zangetsuās boss fights. Im sorry but his sword range is bullshit especially after he powers it up.
I had good luck jumping behind him and attacking from there because a lot of his stuff, even the aoe moves, hit more in front and he has significant cooldown on his heavy slashes.
Speaking of Zangetsu, I finally got to Dominique the other night but Iām only level 45 so Iām getting rekt. I was able to beat her and get to Bael but being in that you have no healing abilities Iām gonna have to learn the fights really well to be able to win. Iāve also been doing some level grinding in the Den Of Behemoths, thereās a room right after the Millionaire Bane boss that has a dragon, a silver werewolf, a couple frogs, and a giant morte that will really make the grinding go quicker.
Iām trying to remember if o even found the Millionair Door. Took me so God damn long to find the Carpenters Key and the key to the door with the Zombie Belmont behind it
Crap I meant whatever that boss is that uses the poker chips. But yeah you donāt really get those keys until later in the game so that makes sense.
Iāve been stuck on the 8-Bit Nightmare too. The enemies in there are pretty strong and then taking on that boss without being able to heal is rough.
Following up on this. Those extra missing item slots were a mistake and are meant to be future DLC.
Confirmed by the developers on Steam forums:
I want my platinum
Am I the only one whoās disappointed that the 8-bit game is getting a sequel and not the Metroidvania style Bloodstained? I was hype af initially because I thought it was the Metroidvania title getting a sequel, haha. Iām still hype just not as much.
That boss hits like a truck. You should get used to him if you want the Platinum though, you need a shard from him+enemies in that level.
I still havenāt played the game and disabled automatic options before the patch that took away all the OP stuff
I think itās a safe bet ROTN is getting a sequel, but itās something that takes time, that they are not going to reveal right away.
Mad the sequel isnāt coming to the Vita smh
What I want to know is, how do you get boss shards after youāve already killed the boss? Say youāre trying to get platinum, and the boss doesnāt give you the shard, are you basically just screwed until the next play through?
I think itās safe to say itās going to be awhile before rotn gets a sequel, but itās nice that bloodstained is going to keep being a thing.
You can re-visit every boss for their shard if they donāt drop one guaranteed IIRC.
I remember having to farm the boss shard from the Ninja level, and it was annoying as fuck because you had to basically run through the entire ninja level just to get a shot to fight the boss to MAYBE get his shard.
The āhardestā trophy was getting a 100% completion, you needed just about every item in the game for it to unlock. You had to grind $$$$$$$$$$ out the azz, either with the candle trick with certain shards equipped or by killing the Casino slot machine boss a ton of times.
Iām super stoked for Curse of the Moon 2. We get 2D open world games out the ass these days (not complaining) but we almost never get Classicvania games (slightly complaining.) Curse of the Moon was as good as if not better then CV3, hell it might be Rondo of Blood good (I may be biased hereā¦)
So I can wait on Ritual 2. They just added some new stuff to Ritual 1 and thereās still stuff I want to do in it. They can take their time with Ritual 2 and im sure we are getting one.
Curse 2 looks fuckin dope so iām all about it.
Which enemy is this? I dont remember any particularly hard to get shard in the Oriental Lab.
Carpenter maybe?
I got to Baal with Zangetsu as well, think Iām in the low 30ās level wise. Havenāt picked it back up since my second effort, going to take some patience to learn the patterns well enough.
Huh, didnāt know that. If/when I decide to get all the drops & shards Iāll have to try that out.
CV3 is pretty godlike especially in the level design department and usually where IGAs games fail. CotM was pretty good in that respect and cotm2 looks like it improves on it a bit, so Iām hoping thatās the case.
I think thatās the only way is learning the patterns. Iām in the 50s and itās still a rough go, especially since Zangetsu is pretty strong attack wise from the jump, so you can get through most of the game without having to grind levels at all, but it will catch up with you at the end.
Edit: I just waxed 8 bit nightmare, Carpenter, and Gremory and Iād say 50-55 is the sweet spot for late game.
Also, I found out that when you dive kick with Zang, you get 5mp back.
Yea i thought the level design in Curse 1 was pretty great with good incentive to replay and explore. Thatās why I compared it to CV3 and Rondo. Has that great level design that also branches and makes you wanna replay to see what the other routes hold.
I thought its design was good, but the branches were largely just alternative ways to get to the end, unlike the CV3 and Rondo. I was hoping they would make more of them than they did.
Well, tomorrowās the day. I plan on sinking my teeth into cotm2 over the weekend. I donāt buy too many games right on release, but Iām pretty confident this will be worth the $15 theyāre asking. Would like to see the series continue with the classic cv style entries.
