Yea i killed the Cleric Beast but i donât have that coatâŚmaybe i didnât pick up his item hmm.
Edit: I went back and looked to see if it was on the ground where he died and its not. I have everything else in the shop that picking up that badge offers, just not the gear. I must have just completely missed noticing he drops it and this missed it on picking it up. Oh well. I will know better next time.
You canât miss boss drops as they are key items. I forget the details on that particular armor so either Exposed might be mistaken, or maybe youâre just looking for it in the wrong place.
Man the guy asset the end of Eileens quest deffinitly heals now. He also doesnt seem to keep the chikage transformed like he used to. That makes me sad as this dude is retard strong. Way too strong imo. I know for a fact he has max stats and +10 weapons. Unlimited ammo like all npcs to so he can reallh spam the shit out of that old hunters bone. HmmmâŚwonder how im gonna kill him now :\
Yeahhhhh, that guy is crazy strong. I would almost suggest just tackling him as one of the very last enemies and just leveling way up, especially if itâs your first character. His gun is just way too freaking strong.
Best Iâve ever done legit was get him down to half life, but then he starts to heal, and that shit is just depressing.
Yea as soon as heals i know Iâm just gonna be like âMan fuck itâ and kill Eileen instead or something. Really dumb to gate one of the covanants behind that guy.
Also just checked the normal shop and the insight shop and that gear is in neither of them.
Edit: Looking again i just noticed i dont heve the gear in shop from getting the Powder Keg badge either O.o
Double Edit: Ah you actually have to kill Djura for his gear to show up.
Yea I threw in a quick edit in the post above but guess not fast enough. I went back to the Clock Tower and fought Djura. You have to kill him for his threads to show up in the Insight Shop apparently. Kinda lame, I like Djura, didnât want to kill him. Same boat with Eileen, I like her, I donât want to kill her just for her gear and weapon.
Ooooh right I forgot about that, yeah the badge is just for the weapons.
Same, thatâs why I gave in and cheesed the hunter in her quest. In later play-throughs I did kill her and honestly, I felt SO BAD. I hate killing non-hostile NPCs, let alone ones that end up tragic. If you donât help her with Henryk or check in with her much, when sheâs at the cathedral, she will be the one whoâs aggroâd, and you have to kill her. her dialog during it made it hard, but I was just fighting for my life at that point
Yea i cheesed him in my earlier runs on my bros PS4 as well, but it seems that doesnât work anymore.
Hah you felt bad for killing her while sheâs trying to chop you up like a blender with those knives, Iâm debating killing her while sheâs bleeding out on the Cathedral stepsâŚ
Well, itâs like, I feel bad that it came to that. Itâs basically because you donât help her that she falls that way. If you do her questline right, she still (probably) dies, but she at least does so in peace. Having to kill her after sheâs lost her mind to despair is just really intense, especially since it happens after the world REALLY goes crazy, which was already emotionally difficult for me to deal with.
Remember this epic Bloodborne figure that was teased a few weeks ago? Well pre-orders are up and to my surprise itâs gonna run $300. Iâm a bit shocked to say the least seeing as itâs only a 12" PVC figure, which generally run about $90-$120. $300 can get you an epic mixed media 18" PCS or SS statue. Not sure why this one is so goddamn expensive, but Iâll be passing for sure, shame.
Wtf? Iâve completed the game multiple times. Emotional response doesnât make me not suited for the game, in fact it actually makes me part of the target audience. If you think From Soft WASNâT trying to get emotional responses from players, then youâre just blind or trying way too hard to be âtoughâ or something.
Edit: Maybe you think I see the fact that it makes me feel bad as a negative thing, but it couldnât be farther from the truth. The fact that it inspired emotions at all, even if they were of dread is in fact one of the reasons I think itâs so amazing. Heck, itâs a better horror game than even ACTUAL horror games. Not a single one of those games actually ever really makes me feel dread and oppression for such long periods of time especially post-Rom when everything really goes crazy, or in the Nightmare Frontier. Most horror games are just jump scares and gore now, and that shit is fucking whack, but this game is amazing and handles horror gracefully, thoughtfully, and substantially.
The fact that it can make me feel uneasy is awesome and is really just proof of how incredible the art design is in the game.
I donât understand how anyone gets into that hobby honestly. Toys and statues are absurdly priced. Who knew there were so many rich nerds out there? Iâll just have to be content with looking at pictures online.
Consider the Valley of Defilement in Demonâs Souls. Tons of people hate that area, I certainly do too. But what really makes that area so difficult is itâs theme. Itâs so dark, itâs filthy, itâs poisonous, decaying, and full of death. Itâs not just draining because of a status effect called âpoisonâ, itâs draining because itâs depressing, and the fact that it is is WHY itâs such an amazingly designed area. This doesnât mean I like or enjoy playing the area, but itâs designed that way, itâs SUPPOSED to be emotionally unpleasant, so itâs actually doing itâs job.
I loath Valley of Defilement lool. Wish Demonâs had a Rusted Iron Ring.
But yea the atmosphere there is extremely good, the place is just oppressively depressing. As far as Atmosphere goes itâs one of the best realized areas in the entire Souls series, which is saying something imo as the Souls series has some of the best realized locations in the medium. I love and hate the Valley of Defilement all at the same time.
