Also…forgot to say…
When it comes to the subject of Bloodborne PVP , there is alot to see and alot to learn if you really put some time into it.
Just because you think that you have “seen it all” and because you feel like you do really well with a saw cleaver doesn’t make
the game boring or less exciting. If you are saying the singleplayer experience of BB is boring then i would call you retarded.

Here are some things that you probably didn’t know about BB peeveepee

• You can temporarily aggro monsters towards invading red phantoms by stabbing the monster with a shaman bone blade (similar to the DS2 tree seed)
• You can deflect bullets with R1 swings (i found this out not too long ago)
• You can deal significantly increased damage by attacking your opponent while opponent is in attack animation (counters)

so that’s what the shaman bone blade is for.
never knew about the projectile deflection, i do know that you can use beast roar to deflect projectiles (even a lot of boss ones)
counter damage is pretty widely known (or at least i hope so) i caught on to it before i reached cleric beast.

also saw cleaver is love, saw cleaver is LIFE! (strongest starting weapon imo by far)

Edit: Actually that reminds me. I have no expectation that this will actually happen, but if possible, unbind Item Discovery from Arcane and tie it to Insight with the Expansion please. Humanity was sick, and Insight is an expansion of the concept (In gameplay terms) so there’s no reason not to, it worked so well in Dark Souls, and would work just as well here, if not better because it would incentivize people to hold onto Insight dispite the fact it make the game harder, I’d have reason to think about holding onto Insight going into a high level area like Nightmare of Mensis with the hope of better drops or burning it at the store for an easier time through the area. As it stands it’s a no brainer, there’s no reason to hold onto it so just burn it at the bath and make Mensis easier.

this explains soooo much. I only really spent insight to buy armor and needed consumables on my first playthrough (until i hit 99 insight in ng+) and got raped so hard by mensis, then on my second playthrough i was keeping insight spent down to around 40 and the area wasn’t nearly as bad.

Shamen Bone Blade is dope as fuck. It has all sorts of uses. It works on the gank boss before Bergynworth, it works on those fly bug fuckers in Bergynworth. I like to turn them on the npc bitch inside the college and get her frenzied for an easy kill.

Coolest consumable in the game imo.

I’ve been talking alot about weapons n shiz in the past… But there is one i haven’t said much about and that is the Saw cleaver.
It’s funny because way back before the game was even released i thought “oh that weapon is on the cover , must be really good OP goAT !!!” etc.
The Saw cleaver is insanely good for PVP and PVE. If someone would ask me for advice on what weapon to use or what build to make ,
i would tell that person to use a saw cleaver and make a build around the weapon.

Here is the best things about it :

• The non-transformed R1 is probably the most mashfriendly attack in the game as it is fast as FUCK and recovers faster than anything else i’ve seen
• You do a GOOD deal of damage with the weapon when compared to most of the others , at the cost of very low stamina
• It’s really difficult to parry the R1 spam because of how fast it is
• It’s really functional and can be used “properly” at both close quarters and slightly more ranged battle
• If you land a riposte while in trickmode , immediately stand close to the downed opponent and use the R2 button for the horizontal slash (really difficult to dodge with a roll on wakeup)
  ^ This last one means that you are nearly guaranteed to kill someone you’ve riposted but still has a pixel of health left

And…That’s pretty much it. I can also conclude by saying that i tried it out in mensis , not even fully upgraded. was like +7 or something.
Had more success pvping than i’ve had with any other of my builds.

If i ever make a cleaverbuild i’ll post it here.

I think you are missing the point, I dont want to deal with people healing. So why would I bother with pvp.

So, let me get this straight. You came in this thread with the intention of voicing…what exactly? Just to let us know that you’ve basically never enjoyed any of the PvP in any Souls game? Because news flash: you can heal in all of them. I don’t give a fuck about your “fight club” rules and I think you’ll have a hard time finding anyone here that agrees with that stance. It’s called self preservation. It’s called using the resources that are available to you to win. That’s all Dark Souls PvP has ever been about, and it’s no different in Bloodborne. In fact it’s probably easier in Bloodborne to stop people from healing than it is in any other Souls game. you have a gun, and EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER HAS ONE IN HIS OR HER LEFT HAND. It is literally no one’s fault but your own that you refuse to use the tools that are given to you to win.

That’s like refusing to heal in PvE because of some kind of self-righteous inclination to be “fair to the bosses” or out of some sense of misplaced “honor”. PvP in a Souls game is about playing to win, and has nothing to do with what you and some random group of people say it’s about because that’s how YOU like to play.

You heal in a fight club and they will kick you out, or add you to the block list.

I just said you people dont heal or are not allowed to heal in fight clubs, idiot. Did you even read? And people get banned from tournaments if they heal.

Yes I know, but not everyone in Souls has been in a fight club before, or a tournament. There is no heal allowed, if you heal, everyone there will add you to the block list, and then gank you. Also most glitches are banned, like dark souls 1 had move swaps which were banned. Making a giant club move like a gold tracer which is funny, but also broken. And glitch with stone great sword, were you would roll and make it cast walk of peace was also banned. Walk of peace was a problem also since there was nothing that could counter it. You would just eat dark magic

Which I was talking about I only played with other groups of people in fight clubs who dont heal. Not everyone in the souls community does random invading. Though he must have cared, otherwise he wouldnt have replied to my post.

This idiot also said “well you still can heal” even after I said I only play I fight clubs. Its like obviously healing has nothing to do with anything if you only play in fight clubs.

I’m a little into this Strength build and I’m wondering what two weapons I should really focus on. I want to make the Cannon a big focus once I get it, but in terms of melee weapons I’m at a loss. I’d really like to make good use of the Kirkhammer but using it in PvE takes some getting used to. God forbid you even try to land a hit on another player while it’s in hammer mode.

The Torintus comes to mind as well, I haven’t really tried it out yet but I feel like it could be pretty scary at +10.

Tonitrus is boss as fuck in the late game. Is a free bolt paper with every L1 and a lot off celestial stuff is weak to bolt.

Fire good early game, bolt good late game.

I have their Pyramid Head figure and it’s a work of perfection, this is SO getting bought. Too bad it took Bloodborne to get FromSoftware mainstream attention, I’d kill for some official Dark Souls statues.

I know I’m late on this, but I just laid waste to the Yahrnam Phtumerian Queen in the chalice dungeons, what a pushover. The asshole in layer 1 of her dungeon was tougher, and a few of the bosses in the cursed dungeons gave me minor trouble, but this bitch went down with teh quickness.
