Bloodborne thread

So apparently the Sony boss man announced on twitter today that there will be a Bloodborne expansion/DLC/something later this year. I haven’t looked at the tweet cause whatever it’s just a tweet and I’ll wait for more complete info, but yeah.

Yeah I saw that tweet too. A few of the game sites reported it too.

Can’t wait for more Bloodborne.

Finally had time to play some yesterday. The One Reborn was a complete pushover. Didn’t even need to clean up the second floor and just wrecked him. Then I go to Nightmare and almost die simply by walking around.

Talk about a good investment or what?

my friends most definitely regret not listening to me now when i told them to preorder a CE

edit : that’s 280.53 in US dollars btw.

haha holy crap

Not unexpected, but Blood borne was confirmed to be getting an expansion: http://www.siliconera.com/2015/05/20/bloodborne-expansion-in-the-works-sony-confirms/

That was my experience too. I didn’t even realize you could get up there. Just stood among his little feet and whaled on him while he went “enh, enh, kick you, kick, enh” and the occasional fireball hit me without doing much.

So I thought I must be overleveled or something, and then Mensis hit me with the OH GOD HOW DO I EVEN.

Also, yessss expansion.

Granted, since I’m getting a bit weary of the chalice dungeons (got to Isz on my last play session, at least), I’m not quite as excited as I was about Dark Souls/Dark Souls 2 DLC. But considering how excellent the DLC has been for those two, hell yeah I’m getting it.

Say, for those of you who’ve done chalice dungeons extensively: Am I missing out on any fun gameplay stuff by not doing any more once I’ve beaten Yharnam? Any cool new bosses in Lower Ihyll (which I’ve skipped)?

I know there are gems, blood rocks and alternate-gem-slot weapons to be had from some of the randoms, but I honestly don’t care about that. I wanna have fun levels and interesting fights.

Heard this game was filled with juicy anal, anyone have any idea when it will go on sale?

Just started the game a few days ago and i don’t remember the last time i had so much fun with a non fighting game <3

Decided to skip Ebrietas and I went to nightmare frontier and pretty much bum rushed through it. Amygdala was super easy at level 92.

All I have left is Cainhurst Castle, Nightmare of Mensis, and the one after that.

All I have access to is the very first chalice dungeon, and I’m only on the second floor. Not sure how to get the other ones but I’m not that interested in them.

I started the game with the threaded cane and whip for the first quarter of the game, then i primarily used the saw spear until about halfway through, then switched between that and the ludwig blade once I got to the cathedral ward. Now I’m back to using the cane and ludwig blade. I plan on using and upgrading the threaded cane to the very end.

The three weapons I used the most were the Threaded cane, Blade of Mercy, and the Reiterpallasch. I really like the latter.

I wanted to go ham with the Kirhammer on my second/current playthrough, but I picked up the Tonitrus and it just seems effective against everything so I’ve just been using it all game.

Tonitrus is fuckin buff, and it only gets better as you get deeper into the game as you run into more stuff weak to bolt instead of fire like the early game.

I’ve been talking alot about weapons n shiz in the past… But there is one i haven’t said much about and that is the Saw cleaver.
It’s funny because way back before the game was even released i thought “oh that weapon is on the cover , must be really good OP goAT !!!” etc.
The Saw cleaver is insanely good for PVP and PVE. If someone would ask me for advice on what weapon to use or what build to make ,
i would tell that person to use a saw cleaver and make a build around the weapon.

Here is the best things about it :

  • The non-transformed R1 is probably the most mashfriendly attack in the game as it is fast as FUCK and recovers faster than anything else i’ve seen
  • You do a GOOD deal of damage with the weapon when compared to most of the others , at the cost of very low stamina
  • It’s really difficult to parry the R1 spam because of how fast it is
  • It’s really functional and can be used “properly” at both close quarters and slightly more ranged battle
  • If you land a riposte while in trickmode , immediately stand close to the downed opponent and use the R2 button for the horizontal slash (really difficult to dodge with a roll on wakeup)
^ This last one means that you are nearly guaranteed to kill someone you’ve riposted but still has a pixel of health left

And…That’s pretty much it. I can also conclude by saying that i tried it out in mensis , not even fully upgraded. was like +7 or something.
Had more success pvping than i’ve had with any other of my builds.

If i ever make a cleaverbuild i’ll post it here.

Yeah the non-transformed saw cleaver reminds me of the Guillotine Axe from Demon souls where it was insanely fast and hit like a greatsword for little stamina.

Guillotine axe hurts more but that can’t transform so lol.
