Bloodborne thread

I thought the same thing. I was wrong.

Having killed Ebrietas 3 times now, I still hate her the most. I can’t fucking figure out how to dodge her fucking stupid ass tackle move. That shit has such a massive hitbox, I have no idea how you’re supposed to get around it. Sure with Cannon or Arcane I can decimate her, but I just can’t fucking do it straight melee without retrying tons of times. And even if I do beat her like that, I don’t feel like I earned it because I still haven’t learned how to actually avoid all of her stuff, I just got lucky that she did moves that were easy to dodge.

SO FUCKING GODDAMN FUCKING FRUSTRATING AS ALL FUCKING GODDAMN FUCK.

Yeah dude, I straight up re-started my first character cause I was so annoyed by the points I wasted. As of now it’s gonna be something like:

lvl 120
VIT 35 (or 40)
END 20
STR 10
SKL 50 (or 45)
BT 5
ARC 50

Darkbeast status:

PREY SLAUGHTERED

Just beat Gerhman and the Moon Presence. Thanks to Angerus for the location of that Bloodstone Rock. It helped a lot. I was doing bout 1,800 damage to Gerhman when before I was only doing like 1,300. I did move some gems around as well but still getting that 10+ was a big help.

I got the Moon Presence on my first try lool.

Alright off to work.

i remember killing ebrietas my very first time with the Chikage build , not that it was a impressive performance on my part… I just
kept shooting bone marrow’d bullets and she died within 40 seconds. next time i make a build i’ll probably make a pure bloodtinge build
and test the limits of how good bloodtinge can be in pve/pvp. Chikage build already has high bloodtinge but nowhere near where i’m thinking
i should be if i wanna see the true power of bloodtinge :sunglasses:

I think Ebrietas is weak to BT maybe. Also, try doing it melee only. She’s REALLY fucking annoying if you stay in her face

i did with the str build.
i got between that gap she has back there…errr…y’know ! That way her swings always missed and i was still in a perfect spot to keep mashing R1. I did however get rekt by the lasers a couple of times before finally beating her.

Yea that’s how I beat her. Kept rolling to her left side and trying to get in between the tails. If you hug her left hip you can sometimes get her in a loop where she does the same side sweep over and over and if you just keel rolling to her hip it will miss and you have enough time to get off an attack or two depending on the weapon you use.

Those lasers tho would fuck me up. I could dodge the first one like every time but one of the follow ups would always catch me and one shot me. When I beat her it was the one time she didn’t use the lasers. I think those lasers are the worst thing about her. The charge is kind of hit or miss but I dodged it more then it caught me, but those fucking lasers killed me almost every time, and if I id manage to dodge em all She usually cast them again a few seconds later. It was also hard to tell when she was starting to charge them if I was close to her. Other then those things I think she’s a pretty great boss.

i was riding the gascoigne-train forawhile… but …

Gehrman is probably my favorite boss out of any bosses since DS1. My first time fighting Gehrman i wasn’t really paying attention to what was going on ,
was more focused on just trying to finish the fight. Now that i’ve tried it a couple of times i suddenly see how absolutely beautiful everything is ,
from the music to the arena/garden you are fighting in , along with that sentimental-bittersweet-insecure feeling it all gives you. “is this right or is it wrong?” etc
He is also challenging which is always a big + in my book.

I honestly think that Gehrman makes Gwyn look like utter poop (and i really liked gwyn too btw).
Haven’t seen Gehrman recieving the praise he deserves so i figured i’d be the first one to make it official :sunglasses: lul

edit : nashandra isn’t even worthy of a mention btw

Gerhman was truly the Artorias of this game.

My favorite boss is still the Wet Nurse by far, though. But Gerhman is definitely top three. His fight was one of the most atmospheric in the entire game.

Just beat the game.

Spoiler

Moon Presence was kinda easy.

Time for New Game plus.

The humanoid bosses tend to be the most fun…

…except Father Logarius. Fuck Father Logarius.

If you squint your eyes during this fight you can pretend your fighting in the Moonlight Wilderness stage from Tekken 5.

For reference, he’s talking about the possibly GOAT Tekken stage:

Damn. I should play the soundtrack to that stage the next time I fight Gerhman. It’s gonna be godlike. B)

Logarious was great, one of the best in the game.

Beat that little Bitch of Hemwick

He’s cheap and annoying.

How is he “cheap” exactly? I feel like he’s pretty straight-forward honestly.

Though I am actually not a huge fan of Gehrman either but I dunno, maybe it’s cause I’ve only ever fought him when I was tired as heck.

He runs away the entire time unless you push him to his second phase, he has that stupid evade/exploding skull bullshit that does too much damage, the giant homing skull limits the amount of pressure you can put on him and fucks you if you end up in a corner…

…then there’s the second phase.

It’s not that bad, but it’s a pain getting there.

That’s not cheap, he’s just playing keep away. Just hit and run style on him. In his second phase parry the shit out of him, or don’t do that at all and just dodge his big scythe attacks and punish. The really big ones have a ton of recovery and easily allow for 2-4 swings depending on weapon. In 3rd phase, just shoot the sword he puts in the ground, it stops UBW immediately.

Chalice dungeons and co-op have left my NG++ character so over levelled I think I’m now legally obliged to do NG+++!

And I still have my STR NG playthrough to finish. Then maybe SotFS…
