Its bloodstones…where the hell are the bloodstones. And to think I thought DS1 Titanite Slabs where rare, I havnt seen one single bloodstone the whole game.
You can get 2 bloodstone rocks (if that’s what you mean) per play-through, no more.
Main Story:
[details=Spoiler]In Nightmare of Mensis there’s a huge mother brain causing frenzy on top of the castle.
If you get rid of it and drop down the ledge of where he used to be, you’ll fine the blood rock that allows you to finally bring your weapons to +10[/details]
Chalice dungeon:
Spoiler
It’s in a random deep root chalice dungeon, it’s best you look up a player’s chalice code to get an easy blood rock on the 1st layer.
That’s actually not true. It was thought to be but it turns out you CAN get multiple Rocks per play through in Chalice dungeons. Main game only has the one though
Got through Layer 2 of Lower Loran. It’s funny, I was having so much trouble with the Abhorrent Beast, then I barely beat him on Ailing Loran. When I fought him again on Lower Loran, everything clicked and I was dodging and smacking him without even thinking.
Darkbeast paarl was actually a shit load easier than most people think. I figured it out when doing 0 vial runs against it.
[details=Spoiler] When he’s winding up for the AoE his head is actually vulnerable and you can get him to flinch, and you flinch him you get the visceral on his face and he’ll be out of lightning install for the moment and will need time to charge back up.
So he’s REALLY vulnerable to rush down. He seems ultra intimidating but he’s actually quite vulnerable overall, i killed him in like 30 seconds or something. Great concept [/details]
I beat that Rifle Spear dude quite easily. I used guerilla tactics against him. I snuck up on him and took his anal virginity. Saw mace dude backing his homie. Nope nope nope ran away. Sucker punch the dude. Got blindsided by electric mace dude, died in one shot. Ouch!
Came back, beat him easily. Kept baiting him, and shot him repeatedly in an attempt to land a visceral attack. I missed all my attempts but it kept pressure on him and I whacked him when he missed. I just had the superior footwork. D-dat boxing mentality, baka!
Using what weapon though? Different weapons have different poise break potential. I definitely couldn’t stop him with a Threaded Cane, or most SKL weapons that aren’t Burial Blade
So the patch hit today, we get item lore on loading screens, I did a bit of testing with the new load times and noted a few down. Was tested in offline mode due to serves undergoing maintenance
23 seconds from Hunter’s Dream to Wet Nurse’s Lunarium
14 second respawn in Wet Nurse’s Lunarium (Chucked myself down the elevator shaft)
10 seconds from Lunarium to HD
15 seconds from HD to Forbidden Grave
25 seconds from HD to Forbidden Woods
12 second respawn in the Woods (Jumped off of a cliff)
24 second respawn in the Woods (Killed by the cannon guy)
22 second warp with Hunter’s Mark in the Wood (Cannon area)
12 second warp from Woods to HD
28 seconds from HD to Yahargul Chapel
13 second Hunter Mark from the streets near the One Reborn back to Y.Chapel
Then I got bored, hopefully it’s of some use. On the whole I’m kinda pleased with the patch it seems we’ve lost at least 8-10 seconds on some of the bigger area load times and then upwards of 20 on some others. I sure am gonna miss that Bloodborne logo ;_;
Just beat Rom. Yes, I know I’m going slowly through this game. Picked up the Blade of Mercy. Such a sweet weapon. I’ve now switched from the Pimp Cane to the BoM as my main. On that note, how’s this build look for it:
Lvl 67
Vit 30
End 26
Str 11
Skill 31
Blood 9
Arcane 10
I’m debating where to put the rest of my points until I reach lvl 100. So far, I was thinking about adding another 5 to arcane to open up some items and then boost my skill to 40. After that, maybe Vit to 40 as well and End to 30.
@JGreen Imo, you really don’t need more than 20 or 25 endurance. Even with stamina penalties, you can do full charged R2s and dash away to safety.
15 Arcane for the ninja bone and victory roar is good.
I regret fucking up my character’s stats. I wish I had something like this:
lvl 80
Vit 42
End 20
Str 30
Dex 25
Blo 6
Arc 7
I’d dump the rest of the stats in either vit or strength if I continued leveling to 100 or something.
Extra vitality is pretty handy with the hunter’s axe since it has a built in rally bonus (extra health recovery when damaged). The perfect tool to trade hits with in laggy matches.
